Hello all,
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster and have started my first grow attempt.
I have a question that I havn't seen an answer to, before I ask my question here's a little info on how I'm doing it.
I germinated my seeds using the paper towel method, between 2 plates and sitting on a heating pad set to low.
The seeds popped after about 24 hours, all 4 with 1-2 mm tails. I transplanted them into a home made bubbler using rapid rooter as my medium with distilled water and 1 drop of Superthrive.
The bubbler is a 1 gallon sterilite tub (bottom painted black) with a clear dome over it (same 1 gl tub bottom), with a Tetra whisper air pump, a 10 inch bubble bar and a Marineland 25 submersible aquarium heater set to 70 degrees. Under a 42 watt CFL.
The rapid rooters are set about 1/8-1/4 inch into the water and the seeds are set about 3/8 inch into the rapid rooters.
My question is; how long should I expect it to take until I see the seedlings crack the surface of the rr's? It's been 2 days and I'm sure its too early but being a noob I'd like to know what to expect.
