Lol, I'm just really high and i started to think about religion and the afterlife. I thought about the fact that the idea of being dead is, obviously, not being alive. When you think about it up until your born, from the beginning of time itself, you are not alive. Well if you aren't alive, you are dead, from the beginning of time you are a dead person really. I don't know, if you think about it like that, dying isn't really anything. It is literally nothing at all. I guess believe in reincarnation in a way, only for the fact that I think that "nothing" cannot exist, to break it down, non-existence is non-existant. It's more like conscious experience never stops. I mean it continues in that instead of experiencing reality from one perspective, we actually eventually experience every perspective of existence infinitely. Lol im stoned and in a thinking mood, jump in on my train of thought if it's coherent enough.

You weren't "dead" before you were born because you didn't exist yet. You didn't go through life and die, you just ceased to exist at all. Once you're born, you experience life which you never had or could experience pre-birth. Just don't compare apples to oranges.:hippy:

Ya but i'm saying the way i see it you are non existant after youre dead too. Like when you go unconcious and it seems like youre out of it instantly, when really it was hours. Same deal, only without the waking up part. Yourre out, gone, bye bye. But then i think since thats not an "experience" you (and by "you" i mean , not what youd consider yourself from a first person perspective, but just an existant thing that is conscious and experiencing something) must still have concious experience. Only because i don't thing the experience of "nothing" can actually happen so it must be something. Gahhh its hard to explain, sorta like reincarnation in a way i guess, i dont know maybe you can figure out what im saying.

When God blew into the nostrils of Adam, he BECAME a living soul.
That's what happened when your first took a breath.
To every man death and then the resurrection FROM the dead.
To us Jesus describes it as sleeping.
The grave is called a place of safety, according to Job, like a hiding place.
Chew on that.
btw what are you smoking?

Would you argue life at the moment of conception?
When you die, you are dead. Your soul doesn't live on, your just dead

Thats what im saying, (if your christian then you believe something else), im just saying when you die (you as in your individual self, the way you think of yourself as "I") is gone forever. I just believe that concious experience still continues, and is still experienced universally. Not as you, you is gone, i just mean it keeps going, through other facets.

sounds like youve experienced an understanding of oneness ...everything as a whole. your physical body dies..but your energy might transcend...energy isnt lost..and whos to say that your soul isnt its own energy. or...this energy belonging to the cosmos...you. heres a couple of quotes with a simliar perspective.
"you can die but you're never dead, spider web"rhcp
"we are a way for the cosmos to know itself"-unknown

We live we die, souls interupted like breath in the wind. I made that up-what do you think?

i'm hardcore into physics ,studing the universe, as well as ancient civilizations. and i think everything dies and goes to the "Heavens". which is what will happen when our beautiful life giving sun (the same one that makes our weed grow :P) goes through it's later cycles and completely incinerates our planet. the universe recycles everything! as for the energy that is our "soul", well it has to return back to the universe as well. which means it also had to come from someplace before it was merged with our bodies. so I think this means I agree with whiteshark.

these questions are for better understanding of your view and not trying to be a smart ass.
by saying he "became a living soul" are you inferring that he was a dead soul before that or just without a soul? if god only blew into man does that mean no other animals have souls? if the whole "creation story" is literal and not just a story, which is accurate, Genesis 1 or Genesis 2 because they give two contradictory accounts?
