SO I just figuered out and bought my lighting for my grow box that is 2'x2'x4' and im using all CFL's. ( I no the cheap way out )

I have figured out my ventilation system by placing a vent in the lower side for fresh air and a vent near the top to cycle out the air. 3" compact fans.

Now im stuck on the soil part.

1) What soil should i use to start to start the growing process?

2) What soil should I then transport it to?

3) What kind of fertilizer, and how often do I use?

I am using seeds that I have pulled out of buds in the past. I know this is no indication of how the plant will turn out but I will be happy to recieve anything.

Thanks for all your help!

I'm new here myself, dunno the answers you are looking for, but would like to suggest you spend some time reading the FAQs. Tons of info in there, should be enough to get you started. Also search the forums for more detail and to see what others are doing successfully.

A wealth of material and knowledge here, but you need to invest some time reading, thinking and planning.

Good luck with your grow.:)

In the past I have used coco, fox farms and a commerical brand unigrow organic potting soil. the coco and fox farms ran about $20 a bag, the unigrow was about $8.00. I didn't notice much of a difference between the 3.

As for ferts I have used miracle grow plant food, dyna grow, fish emulsion, peters, and schultz plant food. My preference is peters or schultz and the fish emulsion for vegative growth. for flowering I use dyna bloom and molasses.

As for how often to fertilze, the best advice I can give you is the less the better. But its important to watch the plants and adjust as necessary
