Here's another prohibition victim story to throw in the basket. Feel free to share yours. Please. I probably got it good compared to some of you.

On Febuary 29th, 2009, I was removed from my 8th period physics class by one of the security guards at my school. I was brought down to my administrators office where he then shut the blinds and told me to calmly take a seat. But not until I was to empty the contents of my pockets onto his desk... My administrator then asked me if I were in possession of anything that might be of a hazard to myself or another person. Weapons, bombs, knives, cherry bombs, staples, etc.

I was shaking. I didn't know what I was in there for, but I had a pretty good idea. I was asked if I consented to a search. Waving my rights, I agreed. He didn't find anything but I was once again searched by the security guard and of course, he found it. I didn't bother arguing my beliefs about marijuana lagality.

How big was this bag of weed? Well, go ahead and hold out your thumb, crop it off at the second knuckle all the way to the tip. About a bowl or two. Or a small joint. Whatever you prefer.

I had to attend five rehab classes for my school along with eight AA or NA meetings (I didn't mind those too much... nice people.) within 19 days before I could go back to school. It took me a month to get caught up with my work.

If that wasn't enough, I was given a $300 dollar citation by the school resource officer which I have the option of waving, along with my court appearance by participating in a 4 month minumum adult diversion program consisting of 24 hours of community service, 4 monthly classes and somewhat random piss tests. I chose that option, but if I didn't I would have to appear in court and the offense would stay on my record for the rest of my life.

I am not a delinquet. I am a smart person. I am a practicing buddhist. I am a nice person and treat others with respect. I get descent grades and live in a nice neighborhood with both my parents who are nice, law abiding citizens. I am not a criminal, but i was treated as one by virtually everbody I encountered. I am still paying for my 'crime to society' and will be until July or September of 2009.

I guess it could be worse. If you're going to get caught with weed do it in Omaha. Possession < 1 oz is just a citation. TGID!

There ya go. Thats my story.
