I'm gonna let Mississippi Steve take this one. But seriously, if your a patient, I don't see the need to dump your meds on the ground. You could and should get reimbursed. Peace

That is very unfortunate that happened..there seems to be a lot of gray areas in California law concerning marijuana which leads to a lot of confusion.:wtf:

quoted for truth...
i wish things were a little more concrete as far as being pulled over while driving with meds in the car is concerned (or in my case truck). i generally try to make sure my meds are in the bed of my truck in a case or toolbox that way if i DO get pulled over, a cop/judge can't say the meds were anywhere in my immediate vicinity while driving.
i have always heard it's best to travel with meds in your trunk or out of reach. honestly not sure if that really matters or not though.
the whole grey area thing definitely sucks...

sue that pigs ass, all you need is the docs written recommendation. get the dash cam video of him dumping out your stash then take the police department to small claims court.

sue the cop? lol, being an asshole isn't a crime - it's just unfortunate that some cops are just that, assholes.
:) If I were you i'd treat it as a normal human egoistical control encounter. Fighting someones ego is just gonna make them target you more.
If you want an easy life you could walk away from that knowing you've done nothing illegal ;)

It's so annoying when they follow you waiting for you to make the slightest mistake.

I moved to Oahu a few years ago and the cops here are some of the worst drivers I've ever seen. And I had never seen it before but I've seen it many times here (at least 4) where a cop will drive very aggressively, very close to you, speeding up your ass and then slowing way down, riding your ass to an INSANE amount, cutting you off, all I'm guessing in an effort to get you to make a mistake. I also had a cop pull me over and tell me I was doing 85 in a 60 here when I was only doing 70. I laughed literally out loud and said "no sir I was doing 10 over and I know it. I was speeding and I shouldn't have been but I know how fast I was going." He said "well, I'm gonna let you off this time, just slow down".............I was dumbfounded.

Basically the same thing happened to me as this guy above me but the fucked up thing was that they checked my medicine into evidence and claimed that they didn't see my recommendation in my b-pack (which it was). Needless to say my recommendation was sitting on the bench seat of my truck without my b-pack, :wtf:? When I tried to get it back (w/ recomm. in hand) the evidence guy said any marijuana checked into evidence can't be release b'cuss its county law:thumbsup:. To top it off their tryin to charge me with a dui when clearly I wasn't swerving and had realized i had a cop behind me before he even turned his lights on, well aware of my surroundings. The whole things fucked and realize my only chance for any thing goin my way in this is for the DA to realize Ive been totally fuckd with and hassled to the max because I was the only car driving through town at 10:30pm and live in a place w/ the average age of 75:mad:.
