ok earlier i found a thread that showed me how to make canna butter from a crockpot but i cant find it anymore.

So i tried to make some from whut i could remember but didnt come out so well.
I added a 1tsp per gram of vaporized bud let it simmer for about 7 hours but it was gross.

Whut color is it supposed to look and how bout the smell and taste?

I checked the stickys and couldnt quite follow them so will some one be so kind and help a cannabis lover out cause i really want to feel that feeling that everyone talks about when they eat it peace.

The way I do it is....
- 1 oz. pot to 1 lb. butter. Divide down if less.
- Bring water and butter to boil. Let butter melt thoroughly.
- Add sweet cheeba, which should be ground up very well.
- Bring water to low boil/simmer, cover, stirring occasionally.
- I go for 3 hrs., then strain through cheese cloth or whatever you have handy.
- But strained butter into container, then fridge for overnight.
- Next day, butter should have separated from water.
- Carefully remove butter from top.

There ya go buddy!

Did you try it? Cannabutter doesnt looks much appetizing, and sometimes tastes still worse, but even so its VERY effective...

I'm guessing he didn't cool it or strain it. Maybe

He used vaporized bud? yuk. very yuk.

If you're vaping your bud properly, you shouldn't have much left in it.

I use about half trim and half good crystally bud. same ratio 1oz:1lb butter

However, for tastier butter I rinse my herb first:

in the crocpot I pour about 2 cups of boiling water over the herb. Let sit 1 hour and pour off. repeat once. Then add butter and process as above.

I use the crocpot on high and let it work all day and over night.

I prefer using coconut oil. It keeps longer.

I often throw in the herb left over from bubble extraction. I get what's left of the resin glands and all the other oil-extractable beneficials left behind in the green.

Keep it simple. I use canola oil but butter works just as good.
I take about 8 grams of powdered shake and pour it into a pan with the oil or butter simmering on low heat. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes then add to your recipe. Very simple, never taste the weed.

Note: when using an oil that is liquid at room temp, like olive oil, or canola oil, do not do an oil/water extraction of your herb -- you'll never get the oil separated from the water unless you freeze it.

because I do a butter/water extraction, I put the bubble leftovers in wet.

I do small bubble extractions of about 1 ounce herb. these leftovers I put in with my regular 1 ounce herb to 16 ounces oil. I put it in wet because I'm doing a water/oil extraction.

if you are doing oil-only extraction, you'd want to dry it first. you don't want water in with your oil or it will spoil and affect the smell and flavor of the oil.

15 min? I'm sure that works but I have found the longer you let it simmer the better. I would do it for about 3 hours if I could.

not a crock pot method, but stinkattic's washed butter recipe is the best and most versatile that i have tried. very little "weed" flavor and one hell of a kick @ recommened dosing.

try it. its pretty easy. just make sure you real carefull with transferring of hot stuff into cold jars and you'll be fine. BTW- i like to make 'buffalo canna-wings' with this butter. :eat:
