just thought i'd post my new cloner creation. it's cheap and very easy to build and use. i've done 1 batch of clones in it so far.

lsd- took 10 days to show 1" roots w/dip'n grow
707 headband- took 7 days to show 1" roots
toe jam- took 12 days to show 1" roots w/dip'n grow

its a 2 gallon black bucket w/ lid--$4.50
220 gph fountain pump w/fountain attachments--$30.00
2 gallon bucket liner (humidity dome)-- $.50
1/2" x 6' pipe insulation--$1.29
23w cfl--$1.59
1 replacement cord end(male)--$.79
total: $38.67

i drilled 1 1/8" holes to put bare clones or rapid rooters into. drilled 1/4" hole to pass pump cord thru. put new cord end on. cut 2" sections of pipe insulation to support clones. plug in. that's it.

i failed to take pics on the first run(oops). but if anyone is interested, i will.
here's some pics to show you what i'm trying to say.( all pics are with the pump off. if i turn it on with the top off, the water shoots over 3' up. big mess. if you build one, be sure to fully seat the lid on the bucket.)

those work well. GOOD JOB

I don't want to use more electricity than I need to so I use those neoprene collars and put them in damp sterile peat (sunshine mix 4). the collars help hold the cutting. you can also use white electrical tape and put labels on each collar for that cutting if you have several different strains you're cloning.

instead of a humidity dome I use a (nearly) transparant Sterlite square 13" tall tub with lid on. I put the sunshine mix in a bakery oblong black plastic cake pan that fits in the bottom. when I add water, just a little like a tablespoon between each set of 4 cuttings.
