very pretty babies!

fluoros are a good start. somewhere around this site it talk about amount of light per square foot of grow. I aim for 20-30 watts per square foot for vegging with fluoros.

in flower I aim for 35-45w psf for fluoros. and currently run 500w in 12sf or 42 w per sq ft

I run 4 4' T5's (216w) in a 4x2 closet (8sf)

216 div by 8 = 27watts per sqare foot.

also you cant really see ( ill take a pic of this) but on the top of the smaller one, the top leaf is like all mutated, like theres 2 leaves growing out of one lol i call it twisty tops lol but yea ill try n get a pic of it

pretty sure flowering can theoreticly start as soon as it get out of the dirt, all i know if once u start puitting them on a 12/12 light scheduele then they start to flower just make sure there at a nice height and not too short it actually looks like one of yours could be started right this second if u wanted it to bud right quick.

BUT since you only have two plants id wait a bit longer till there a big bigger so you'll get some more bud i think it's 12 inches to 18 inches is the best time to start flowering any higher then the bottom buds dont get much light and are small post new pics soon so we can see if you could/should flower them now

HPS would be preferred. what is your closet size?

you can get anything from a 70w -- 1000w. 70-90, up to maybe 250 you can get at HomeDepot in the outdoor security lighting.

if heat is an issue, you can go smaller HPS and augment with fluoros.

it's all up to you, your grow space, and pocketbook.

on size -- I put a small white widow in flower about the same size as your largest girl. WW stretches, and this one stretched to about 30" with 2 main kola's and 3 or 4 smaller ones. I'm expecting about 45-55 gr clean bud, 30+ trim.

I've seen up to 5 plants under a 600w hps light it all depends on your space of growing.
