May you rest in peace,

I''ll see you on there other side, Wait for me.

He died two days ago, And today is his birthday.

:(

Police took my best friend.
The next day or so I got to look down at my homie and say goodbye,
Its going to hurt like hell ='[

This is so wrong what they did, He was only 15.

All I'm asking is that every one here please take a moment of your time and send the attorney general of michigan a letter. Telling him how justice needs to be served on the officer.

YouTube - Brett Elder, 15, Tasered to Death (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn4xPsFXVdg)

Mich. -- An autopsy has been completed on a teen who died over the weekend -- after being shocked with aTaser by police. But the autopsy results will not be released for a number of weeks.

It happened Sunday morning when police were called to a home in the 200 block of Catherine Street for fighting.

Police said when they attempted to break up the scuffle, 15-year-old Brett Elder started swinging at them. That's when they used the Taser, they said.

The teen was taken to the hospital and later died. Both the family and the deputy police chief painted a different picture about what happened

"He was flopping around and looked like a fish out of water," said Elderā??s aunt Cindy Hernden. "Thatā??s the only way to explain it -- his whole body was bent over."

Hernden admitted Elder attempted to punch the officers but said the use of a Taser gun was excessive since her nephew was already in handcuffs.

"He was handcuffed behind his back and they were Tasing him," said Hernden.

However, Deputy Chief Thomas Pletzke told TV5 that Elder was not handcuffed when the Taser was used.

"The subject was not handcuffed when the Taser was deployed," said Pletzke.

Elder was pronounced dead at Bay Regional Medical Center.

The officer who used the Taser is on administrative leave, standard procedure used by BC police in situations like these.

Taser International will be in town this week to investigate the Taser that was used on the teen. The group is working with the Michigan State Police -- which is leading the investigation.

Meanwhile, a fund has been set up to help with funeral costs for the Bay City teen. Itā??s called the Brett Elder Funeral Fund and donations can be made at any National City bank branch.

This is so sad. Maybe one good thing can come out of it. We all need to work together to get tazers ban. This isn't the first time tazers have killed but I think this is the youngest.
Lets try and turn this into a positive and let his name stand for something.

There have been numerous documented cases now of tazers killing. It should not be a death sentence because of a fist fight or because somebody tells a cop to fuck off. Cops supposedly have the restraining suspects and not using deadly force. Cameras people. It has shined light on all these kinds of cases. Otherwise the cops just close ranks and say nothing happened.

Hello man. My prayers will be with you. I don't understand why they tasered a child in hand cuffs, surely he is a danger to nobody and only a danger to himself in such a situation.

I've heard police occasionally taser people more than once, this is dangerous and can cause heart failure if repeated too many times.

Did your brother suffer any heart conditions? If not, I would expect he was tasered more than once, and that is sad.

Currently police seem to be using an unreasonable amount of force in order to bring law and order, it's not very republican, and it's not very civil.

I wish you luck in your pursuits, court case and life. There is no excuse for avoidable deaths.
