Hi all, I hope I can find some information and help here. My mother is in her late sixties, and has post-shingles syndrome with nerve pain, inflammation, and chronic muscle spasm. Her doc refuses to prescribe any kind of reasonable pain meds, or do anything but push Botox treatment for nerves he can't seem to hit. I'm looking for a prescribing physician in the Fort Collins area, and a local dispensary as she's had to limit her driving. She's indicated a willingness to go as far as Denver or Boulder if she must.
Or is there someone who can refer me to a local grower who might be willing to part with some seeds? My mom is such an ace gardener that when she sticks a seed in the ground, step back because it's going to come up like Jack's beanstalk!

We have that and more, but what I need are referrals to docs, dispensaries and so on. I'm not trying to buy pot, I'm trying to get her to treatment.

It isn't as hard as all that. Canna-med helps people get their medical license and there is a depository here as well as a mj card holder shop that just opened up. check out this website, it should help -=Colorado-CHRONIX.com=- (http://www.colorado-chronix.com/)

Once she gets her card, there is a dispensary at College and Drake in Fort Collins called A Kind Place.. I think they are open M-W & F from 10-5pm.
Another one I found to be a great help is Natural Alternatives for Health based out of Fort Collins/Loveland:
Medical Marijuana Caregivers - edibles and herbal medicine (http://www.naturalalternativesforhealth.com/about_us.html)
And the Colorado Chronix mentioned above is a great resource..

Something close would be ideal - thanks for the help. She's going to check it out.

Not trying to cause a conflict here, but you do NOT need three years history or medical conditions that old to get approved here in CO. My card arrived last week for a condition that qualifies, but was only diagnosed in January 2009.
I have a legitimate illness with only 2 recent doctor's visits and I got approved, so this is from personal experience. I'm not spamming or promoting anyone, but I can refer the clinic that helped me if you send me a note, Jolly.
If you're not legal, yeah, as the others said - not much help anyone can give until your mom gets a card, but she should be able to get approved in 30 days or less, at least that was my experience.

Thanks, Rocky. One of the organizations above is really helping - super caring people! I also don't think she realized just how many people her own age use MM.

Im not sure on the doctor situation, but as far as a decent dispensary in Fort Collins I would recommend A20 labs. They are a delivery service, so that might really fit your needs. Best product you will find anywhere, and at $300 an ounce. Check out the website for a number to call.....they are extremely friendly, and knowledgeable. Their website is indexa20labsNEW ยป Page 1 of 12 (http://www.a20labs.com)
