Hey, hope everyone is well. My mommy emailed me this, I am sure it's fake. But it is funny!:D

Some guy that is not paying his taxes.

Dear IRS,

I am sorry to inform you that I will not be able to pay taxes owed April 15, but all is not lost.
I have paid these taxes: accounts receivable tax, building permit tax, CDL tax, cigarette tax, corporate income tax, dog license tax, federal income tax, unemployment tax, gasoline tax, hunting license tax, fishing license tax, waterfowl stamp tax, inheritance tax, inventory tax, liquor tax, luxury tax, medicare tax, city, school and county property tax (up 33 percent last 4 years), real estate tax, social security tax, road usage tax, toll road tax, state and city sales tax, recreational vehicle tax, state franchise tax, state unemployment tax, telephone federal excise tax, telephone federal state and local surcharge tax, telephone minimum usage surcharge tax, telephone state and local tax, utility tax, vehicle license registration tax, capitol gains tax, lease severance tax, oil and gas assessment tax, Colorado property tax, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma and New Mexico sales tax, and many more that I can't recall but I have run out of space and money.

When you do not receive my check April 15, just know that it is an honest mistake. Please treat me the same way you treated Congressmen Charles Rangle, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and ex-Congressman Tom Dashelle and, of course,
your boss Timothy Geithner. No penalties and no interest.

P.S. I will make at least a partial payment as soon as I get my stimulus check.

Taxation without representation has never been truer than today.

It's likely legit, I heard the same thing from several reputable sources. I would love to see a massive protest of people not paying federal income tax. Good luck paying for the stimulus package, bailouts, etc, without our money. I didn't agree to pay for all this, go screw yourselves.

Granted I don't know if he will actually file his taxes or not.

That was great

There are a bunch of videos on Youtube about this... They have former IRS agents talking about the agency, and saying how the federal income tax is unconstitutional, and not even in the tax laws. They say people are paying for no reason...

I don't know the validity of these videos, but they were interesting nonetheless.

They are. We are obligated to pay state taxes not federal. Federal taxes are unconstitutional.

^^
I have heard this too, I dunno. I haven't really looked into carefully, but people do get time for not paying their taxes. Some get off, but I am betting my ass would be SOL, and the feds would be at my door quick, fast, and in a hurry! No thank you, not to mention, my federal income tax liability is pretty much zilch since I really don't make too much earned income from an employer. But yes, federal income tax blows big ones!

Article I Section VIII

Powers Granted to Congress

1. It may lay and collect taxes. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imports, and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imports and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.

Notice how it specifies taxes, income tax not being one of them.

Article I Section IX
Powers Denied to the Federal Government

4. Direct taxes must be apportioned according to population. No capitation (head or poll tax), or other direct, tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

Article IV Section V
The process of Amendment.
The Constitution may be amended in four ways. The congress, whenever two-thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two-thirds of the several States, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States, or by convention in three-fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification my be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendments which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no State, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

It sates right there in the second article I posted I posted under "powers denied the federal government" and is not allowed under the Constitution to be amended.

Now lets look at the amendments.

Amendment XVI.
Income Taxes.
Congress has power to lay and collect income taxes. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

So they amended something that was allowed to be amended and taxed without the consent of the states.

Federal Income taxes are unconstitutional.

Agian, I'm not saying this guy actually won't pay his taxes this year, but all he is saying there is that those are the taxes he has paid before.

In reality, nonprofit medical cannabis co-ops and their employees shouldn't have to pay taxes either. Nonprofit means exactly that and any wages paid are federal/state minimum wages putting the employee in the exempt tax class since nonprofit medical cannabis co-ops aren't rich corporate mogals and can't afford to pay unemployment comp insurance or health insurance. Except in California where they can afford $50 an ounce tax on top of the stratospheric prices they already pay!!!!!

If they are not paying unemployment and workmans comp they will not be in business long. Health ins is not required by law. There is a lot of profit in non-profit business. Maybe the co-ops are paying minimum wage but that is not applicable to most non-profits. (like almost every hospital in the country) Do you think the CEO of the red cross makes minimum wage? they are non-profit:cool:
