hey guys.

total newbie when it comes to this site and vaporizers.

anyway, im in the market to buy a vaporizer, and ive been reading all kinds of stuff on the internet, but its hard to separate the fact from fiction.

Im looking to spend about $100-$200 on an easy to use devise, preferable one that can be inhaled directly (like a hookah i guess?). those bags scare me hahaha.

any help or links to any resources would be great.

thanks and i look forward to being a part of this little e-community.

You're gonna get a lot of different answers here........but in your price range, this is what I'd suggest.

For a whip based vape that can give you huge bong like hits, I'd go with the Da Buddha. Others my suggest a box type vape, but I really don't like the heating element angle on those. There is a bit of learning curve with any whip based vape.

For a direct draw vape, that virtually has no learning curve, and that will really conserve your weed and is considered one of the most efficient vapes on the market, check out the Purple Days.

If you're looking for a portable vape, check out the I-Inhale, but they have a new model that's they've been beta field testing for a bit called the Iolite. Not available yet, but will be soon.

Other opinions will follow from others............

Welcome to the world of vaping. MUCH healthier way to go.

yes, my main concern if healthiness. i heard some of the box models really arent as healthy, since they dont burn correctly at times, and sometimes the chemicals (glues and what not) get mixed in.

like i said, after reading all kinds of random sites, its hard to know what to trust.

this is why i came to the experts

Yup........lots of good people here, but let me make a suggestion. If your primary interest is in vaporizers, there is a site that is TOTALLY about vaporizers and nothing else. Lots of vape reviews there with some very experienced users along with the inventors of many of the vapes that are mentioned here, so you'll get a wealth of information. Check it out:

Do you own a bong?? try this Vaporization Chamber Bowl VRIPTECH (http://www.vriptech.com/product.htm)

This was my first vaporizing devise and it kicks my ass everytime I use it (mabey its the weed)...

I still own and use it today....along with 3 other vaporizers...2 volcanos and a super vapezilla

You use the VCB in combination with a bong and a heat gun or heat wand

Of the suggestions offered, I'd agree with 'all of the above'. lwien123's pick of the Buddha for a whip vape, and the Purple-Days for a one handed direct draw are especially nice choices. Another suggestion-you can find these vapes in action on one or more youtube vids. Use the forums-this one, fuckcombustion, marijuana.com-the good vapes will be easy to find, then just figure out which one fits you best.

GOOD call. That's one category (bong vapes) that I forgot to mention, and the VripTech is an excellent choice.

Let me go out on a limb and cast my support for the box vape. Granted there are probably better options out there, but I've been throughly satisfied with Vaporwarez hands-free vape. While I also own a Vapir digital air, it sits gathering dust in a forgotten corner while my vaporwarez vape has a permanent location in the living room. Pack up a full bowl, and you can sit for over an hour trying to finish it. Unfortunately its price has gone up since I purchased it, but it's still running strong after 2 years or so of constant use.

My personal favorites:

Portable Vaporizer: I-Inhale but I would suggest waiting until their new model comes out. Portable. Very stealthy. Has a tube attachment. I've heard many testimonials from people using this in public and no one having a clue what they were doing or being able to smell anything.

Whip Vape: Silver Surfer. A new spin on the whip/box vape and it works great. A lot of head shops are starting to carry these and if I ever decide to get another whip vape, this will most certainly be the one. I've personally used this and can vouch for the results as being better than any other whip I've tried.

Bag Vape: Volcano hands down but of course this isn't in your price range. I think the next logical step for S&B as they've stated in interviews, will be to come out with something smaller and cheaper in the near future.

I think within the next 5 years or so, you will see the true test of which vapes stick around and which ones don't. It's an interesting market. :hippy:
