Yes if there is mold on it don't smoke in any circumstances, my cousin once when looking at a fat nug got confused and thought the crystals were mold.. lol.

"Mold is a fuzzy texture and can be literally ANY color--white, grey, green, black, and even shades of neon orange and "fluorescent" colors. It has a distinct smell, but only if it has grown and spread enough. It can cause all kinds of reactions when ingested/smoked that range from asthma attacks to vomiting to dangerous lung infections." -

Sure hope SeattleS247 got in there soon enough! It sounds like you smoked it. Man, every book says destroy it. And if it is or was in your or a friend's garden, chances are all the plants will get it. They need to figure out what caused it and fix it.

You, if you did ingest it: Never again in your life ever take a cough for granite and if you smoke tobacco--stop now. You need to start getting as healthy as possible and flush your system with a good nutritional liquid fast of juicing or something real healthy for awhile.

If it was good weed, it wouldn't have given you a headache, quite the opposite, in most case's. Where did you get it? PR :hippy:

smoking moldy pot will give you severe bronchitis, and even worse respiratory problems, trash it ... I've never gotten mold, that I know of, but have heard that it frequently has an 'ammonia-like' odor ... good luck :smokin:

Detecting contaminants in marijuana

Eliminating contaminants

Levitz and Diamond (1991) suggested baking marijuana in home ovens at 150o C, for five minutes before smoking. Oven treatment killed conidia of A. fumigatus, A. flavus and A. niger, and did not degrade the active component of marijuana, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Conclusions

Many publications have described a variety of microorganisms resident on marijuana. Nevertheless, most researchers remain unaware of these hazards. Schwartz (1987) wonders if the source of a young patient's Curvularia lunata sinusitis could be from contaminated marijuana. Brummund et al. (1987) reply that this is possible, but no Curvularia species have been cited in the Cannabis literature. However, this was indeed reported by Babu et al. (1977). More recently, another Schwartz (1992) states, "I am unaware of any report of non-Aspergillus fungal contamination of marijuana cigarettes." The publications cited herein, provide such reports.

Carefully cultivated and harvested marijuana harbors a minimum of hazardous microorganisms. For added protection, material must be screened for contamination before it is packaged for use as medical marijuana. Since opportunistic infections pose the greatest danger to immunosuppressed consumers, marijuana should be sterilized, preferably by gamma irradiation. Lastly, consumers must be given careful instructions to ensure their marijuana does not become contaminated prior to use.
