HELP NEEDED! NEW GROW

Hey everyone,

This will be my second grow. I tried some hydroponics & completed a soil grow. I have AK47 on its way over (seeds) as well as Pure Afgani. Both said it was extremely easy to grow & large yields with same flowering time & height. I have two locations available. I have a closet or a outdoor shed I can use. Both have electric available for wiring. I do not have anything. I will be building a grow box from scratch. I am in need of a light fixture. I have access to floro's but I was looking into a 250watt HPS or a 400watt HPS. I also havent decided whether or not to do soil or hydro set-up, if hydro i may buy a small set up. and i am on a budget. roughly $200-$400.00. I am handy so i can make pretty much anything. Any suggestions.

The floro's will work OK for the first 3-4 weeks. A 250 or 400 watt HPS is the next; best buy. Next is something to ventilate the space. You must keep temps between 70-85 degrees....IMO.

Nutes, pots, soil, etc. is the easy part.

Hey dutch,

So the cfl's will only be good for 3-4 weeks huh. So 250 or 400watt..I was looking at LED"s but there too much money. I am going to be building a box first, i would like to keep them short and wide. total height i do not want to exceed is about 4ft high I can go as wide as 4-5ft wide. i would like to do 2 plants, simply because i only have 2 little guys i got from a friend. one ak47 & one pure afgani. How should i start the germination. last time i had use a moist paper toil & sandwich bag. any better way or more effeciant way?

4 ft high is a problem. Read what the cabinet growers, do. I have no experience with confined spaces. sorry
