Now that I have your attention =)

I have a new room,so I'll make another log.This is what i'll be starting with.
The room of course is gonna change a bit over the next couple weeks as I remodel it too suit my purpose.

The 2 type's of sprout's in this case are B-52 and NL/haze x euphoria
I Germinated the seed's in a cup of water.When the sprout's had an inch or so of root I put them in the aero-rooter.I didnt bother using the seedling cage. just set the sprouts right in the foam holder's.This way i dont have too deal with the roots growin thru the cage.

Room temp 71 deg.
Water temp 71 deg.
PH 5.8
PPM 600

Clone Light = 105 watt CFL
Veg Light = 4' - 8 bulb T5
Bloom = dual 600 watt HPS

We gonna do all hydro this time in all 3 stage's.

1 = clone/veg room
2-3 = B-52 and NL/haze x euphoria
4 = bloom room

Well the sprouts are looking good. they grow up so fast :weedpoke:

The ebb/flow system i use starts with a bucket inside a bucket. the top bucket gets hole's in it.then a piece of 3" pvc cut to 2-3/4" for a spacer.That keeps the bucket's from stickin' an also set's the flood too 1-2" below the level of the hydroton.

I'll buy the T5 light an some more hydroton pretty soon an set-up a veg area.There's still some work to do ...I gotta frame a wall w/door,then sheet rock,Mudd,and paint.And a list of other stuff of course ...but we are well under way in the new room.

Everyone is lookin happy still.The water in the cloner want's too be at 800 ppm.I know that becouse whatever i do it goes back too that an stay's steady there.
The B-52 (which is a cross between Bigbud and skunk)Is growing way bigger, way faster than the Nl/Haze X euphoria. B-52 is in the back,Haze X is up front.
I popped some more bean's becouse i wanna be sure i get some girl's.

Startin to crowd each other so we split them up a lil. everyone looks good except one of the euphoria,it's a lil weak,and has weak root's ...Guess it was a weak bean.

I took off some fan leave's so the bean's an lower growth will get some light.
also they were pretty crowded.
One of the B-52 decided too be a boy (pic 3,but not sure if you can see the male flower starting.)
I put some more seed's in.(i sprout the beans like normal,then put them in tail side down.)

I cloned the big B-52 that showed male,to make him smaller, we wont use him till later.
Next to the clone is a B-52 sprout I started.
The weakest euphoria was male so I pulled it.Im not gonna breed the euphoria this time around.
As you can see in pic.3 we had some pretty big fan leave's goin,I cut off all the biggest one's.Some of you are thinkin' "WTH?" "what he do that for".Do not be concerned they will be fine.
I tossed in a pick from inside the cloner incase anyone wanted to see.

I started framing the divider wall that will seperate the veg and bloom room's.

The plants look great,I started some clones off one that may turn fem.They are starting to pre-flower but im tired of waiting so i switched to 12/12,I'll run that till they show sex,then switch back.

I had to take much of the leaves from the afghani plant I'm now finishing up. It replaced all those leaves, and then some. I'm trying to get the plant to harvest and at 12+ weeks it's still green and thriving. The leaves grow back quickly enough.

I just ordered some "PAPAYA" from nirvana seed's.Look's like it may be fun.Im no fan of nirvana really...but they have a good price on usable seed's.I got my B-52 from nirvana...after breeding it against itself,it's as strong as any.

I needed room in the cloner so i put the biggest in the veg area. the 2 B52 both turned out male ....but no problem,I have more seedlings goin so we'll have a girl eventually.the euphoria are taking awhile too show sex.

I've been hand watering the veg area..its actually a drip system,but i dont have the pumps set up yet.So once a day I pour a cup of nute water across them.

I caught the flu so havent really done anything exciting for over a week,I'm feeling better now an will get back on it.

I finished framing the wall,sheet rocked one side of it.

I installed the new 8 bulb T-5 "it's fkn awesome" 40,000 lumens and it look's like 40k. It's bright as hell.

I'd think that 8 lamp fixture would be a good tool. I use my four tube all the time, veg adn bloom, I cahnge the lamps. But I only have one 'room'. Looking fine, feel better soon, Diver.

The owner of a local grow shop uses "only t-5's" for all 3 stage's and he swear's by it.Uses's less electricity,has less heat and get's great result's.

It's a "sun system's new wave" cost me 340.00 and they threw in the bulb's free.
it will easily replace your 400w,and prolly be more effective really.

I'm getting bored waiting for a female...So i had my friend bring me some "Bubble Gum".He had it in his bloom room so it's about 2 weeks into flower.I took some clones from them,then put the plant's in my veg area,I'll try to re-veg. them and get a lil extra size out of it.

The sprout's are lookin good.The "bubble gum" clones havent rooted yet,as you can see they are still in flower mode.
I topped the big "BG's" when i took the cutting's, then a couple days later I took off the weak under-growth.I transplanted them into bigger pot's.They are looking bigger and healthier,the flower's have grown,but so far it hasn't really shown any sign's of stretching into veg.

Yea he's right man.As you can see im re-vegging some stuff also,and have flowering clone's.
One of my buddie's insisted i grow him some "BG",so we're gonna.And also i was bored waiting for a female B-52...
The bucket set-up we use is awesome for hydro or dirt i've done both.I dont have the bloom room finished yet, (since im not ready to flower plant's) When it's set up I will show detailed info. on how to run an ebb/flow set-up.
I will also have a drip system w/hydroton set up in the veg area.

The milk crate's keep the root's up off the cold ass concrete, allow's for good air flow,and also raises the plant's up so i can work on them w/out breakin' my back.
Im not gonna use them this time becouse I have a low ceiling and may need the extra height.

kk was just curious. I plan on making pedestals out of 2x4s and plywood for mine, like you would for like a washer and dryer, for mainly the concrete floor temp as you have mentioned.

Build so that you have the minimum amount of lumber touching the ground,and alot of gaps for fresh air to get under it.This will help prevent water from sitting under and around it,which may cause mold,also give's bug's less place to hide.

Thank's for stoppin' by shake. burning a joint and dropping 130 feet into the ocean is one of the most amazing thing's i've ever felt,A person really need's to try that atleast once.Smokin a joint an jumping out of a plane is in the top 2.

The room is lookin fine.Bubble Gum is starting to stretch now so that meen's it's re-vegging.The seedling's look great. The BG clones have started rooting,I still havent finished the mud or paint in the flower room,but i'll get on it soon.

pic2= As you can see in this pic..the bud's are starting to stretch,That's a good thing this time.
pic3= The kid's in the cloner are fine.B-52 are the big sprout's,Bubble Gum are the gay lookin flower'd clone's,and the lil bitty sprout's are NL/Haze x Blueberry.
pic4= here's one of the rooting clone's. in the back ground is the constant read meter I use in the cloner.
pic5= This is a special pic,it's nute burn,I have been being lazy and feeding the "ocean forest" soil with veg nute's from the hydro res.The ppm in the hydro mix of course is too high for the F.F.O.F. soil. When i mix nute's for my soil plant's I never go over about 600 ppm.

I found the make and model of your meter, so nevermind all that. I found that model on ebay for $150 free shipping...but i also found the Hanna Grocheck HI991404 for the same price and that has pH, TDS, EC, and Temp. I think i might go for the Hanna. What are your thoughts?

TDS/EC is the same thing as PPM.Hannah is a good brand of meter.My meter has been awesome,so i would buy this again,but either one is gonna be fun.

pic.2-3= I also hooked up the drip system.I used a 1/4 horse pump,and some basic drip system stuff that i had around from a previous soil grow.

I use 2-600w HPS for flower. I'll have 6-8 plant's, so 3-4 per light. I like to get my plant's up to around 2.5 feet tall before flower,this time i'll be limited by the size of my veg. area..so we'll see.

I like to get atleast 1/4 pound per plant,And most often it's like 5-7 ounce's...however right here at first we may have slightly smaller plants as I rush them into the flower room(I need SMOKE!).We'll see, it's a lil too early to start counting un-hatched chiken's.

Back in the old day's we would DIY this same set-up for soil grow's and drip watering.Some asshole decided to get rich on it...I have used this set-up (this exact one) for soil log's and hydro log's,You change the plumbing a lil and it will do either one.This is the most versatile and easiest to use system available today in my opinion.

Hydro is as easy as any other...use a well rounded nute program,keep your PH at 5.8,dont overwater,the plant's will do the rest.

Im gonna put male B-52,female BG's and female B-52's outside this year. So I will have pure B-52 and also BG-52 which should take the size of B-52 and the flavor of BG. BTW B-52 is a cross between bigbud/skunk

I use both drip and flood/drain I like both.Drip is cheaper and easier to build.With the size my plants are now,Im watering once a day for 15 minute's (both system's),as the plant's get bigger and drink more,I Will water 2 time's per day for 15 minute's.

Thanks Dive, another question. as for the drip system that you have, do you let the water drip from the top and drain it from the bottom at the same time (simultaneously) or do you let the water fill up the bucket first than drain it.

this might be really stupid question but..can you run hydro system outdoor? i dont have a room yet, I thought it might be nice to set one up in backyard to experience it. the whole mixture of nutes and all the goodies...the weather of northern cali is very nice:thumbsup:

This late in flower,super crop wont really help this plant.If I had a height issue tho this would be good way to solve it."supercrop" "LST" "topping" they all basically do the same thing..it slow's the growth of the main branch and causes the lower branch's to compete for top position.
You want to "pinch" the stem hard enough to smash the fiber's this make's it bend with out breaking,but be careful not to pinch it clean off.
I'm sure you'll have question's so feel free to ask and i'll address them as I can.

I prefer my plant's to be atleast 2-2.5 feet tall before flowering,1-1.5 feet is ok if your in a hurry or have a small space.The drip system in veg. area uses gravity to drain.The flood/drain system in flower room has 2 pump's,one for fill,one for drain.

I do use a heater in the winter when the light's are out,but summer it's fine.Afer using the T-5 for awhile im not sure it's any cooler,but still worth doing.

Since we're talkin about training method's i decided to ad a different one in here.And add some pic's from yesterday's "supercrop".

pics 1-3 is what it might look like if I "Tie" or "LST" a bubble gum plant.

pics 4-5 are the bubble gum we "supercropped" yesterday.

If you follow a few simple rule's hydro IS easy.As for the supercrop,I only did it to show the kid's how,it's not gonna benefit a plant like that one,in a situation like this one...but it also wont do it any harm,so i dun it.

pic-1 I put four new sprayer's in the aero-rooter.
pic-2 one in each corner.
pic-3 3 BG clones tied down,and 1 B-52 clone with no adjustment's to it.
pic 4 the flower room, 2- B-52, 2- BG.

on monday i'll add another plant to the flower room,and of course move one from cloner to veg.If im running 8 week plant's,I will end up harvesting one plant per week.so of course i will make sure to run 8 week plant's..

As for your grow, Dive.... Dude! Every time I see new pics of yours, I get the munchies. It reminds me of a roast I saw on Comedy Central - I think it was the roast of Flava Flav; yeah, I know, it doesn't sound like a good watch, but it was hilarious. In 1 part of it, a second rate comedian made a comment about Snoop Dogg - something about all of the people in the front row were getting the munchies because they were within 20' of Snoop. Well, your pictures have the same effect on me.

The garbage can res. keep's secreting some kind of oil,it's fkn with the veg. plant's.The cloner and bloom are fine,they have no oily shit in the res.I'm gonna switch it out to see if that fix's the issue.If it does fix the issue then i'll get a res rated for consumable product's.I'll post some pic's in a bit.

i've got a question for you. considering all factors the same (grow environment, nutes, strain, even phenotype) what kind differences have you noticed with a "trained" (LST, topped etc.) versus a non-trained plant (if you done such).

Well bro,I'm actually gonna show you the difference here pretty soon.I have some B-52 that has been topped and trained as you can see,In the next week or two I'll add in a B-52 with no topping or training.Some of the differences are.. topped plant's have 15-20 medium size bud's-untopped get's one Big bud and 10-12 small's. topped are short and wide,and can maximize floor space,they also maximize available light-while untopped will grow tall and thin forcing you to raise your light and blocking light from the lower half of the plants.The more even your canopy is ..the closer you can get the light to the bulk of your plant's. I could prolly go on ..but it's too early for thinking this much :)

Anyway like i said we'll do a side by side comparison soon.

I've harvest some of the lower branches on the smaller of the big BG's,dried weight is 22 gram's.That's not the total weight of the smaller plant,just what i've dried so far.it's sticky,stoney,fruitty,a real pleasure to smoke,and it's not even fully mature or cured yet.

Pic-1 is the B-52 that im not gonna train,I did however take the fan leaf's off to encourage under-growth.I think if it look's good I will put it in the bloom room next sunday.

I dont really stick to just one method...im always switching it up or using several method's at a time.Cant go wrong if your doing some of each.

Pic-2 BG,This is about as "close-up" as I can get with this camera,that means im gonna have a hard time showing good close-up's of the finished shit.I guess it may be time to get a new cam. and give this one to my kid's.

thanks Dive that bushy branch got me worry..i thought it was to leafy or bushy and not able to produce as much due to the leaf...anywase, i like your cloning machine...may i ask couple questions...during the cloning process (after you cut the branch added some cloning juice and stick it to the cloning machine) do you add any nutes in the water or do you just have it spray with plain water,..i dont understand about those type of cloning machine, just learning thanks...

Im running it at 400 ppm,I was running at 600 before,I wanna see if it makes any difference.Im also experiment with the pressure to the spray tip's,to find the most efficient collision.:thumbsup:
