So this is my first grow indoors. I am using fox farms ocean forest and mixing it with light warrior. I have two small healthy plants, one pure power and one pure gold both fem seeds. so far so good but i invested in a sharp digital ph meter and have been taking readings. at first i was giving the plants 7.0 straight up. then i tested the runoff and it was low like 5.5. so i upped the ph with gardening ph up i got from the hydro shop. so the water i now give them is around 7.5 i just watered them today and the runoff read around 6.0ish. So my question is, Is it safe to keep giving them the alkaline water to raise the ph in the soil or does anyone have n e suggestions, n e help would be greatly appreciated.

Gotta get the pH up somehow! Try for at least 6.5. It's a pain, ain't it!
I thought Fox Farms soil would do better than that, after all I've heard good about it.
Worst that could happen is that you have to flush your soil at some point in the future. Did you add perlite?

i am very happy so far w the fox farms my plants look great and are growing fast and strong. the fox farms light warrior has a bunch of great stuff including perlite. i read that a bunch of people mix ocean forest 70% and light warrior 30% and thats it with great results. just need the ph stabalized, what about lime?

Lime will bring it up FAST!
You're not too far from the mark, now, I'd just pH adjust the water and get it up slowly. Sounds like you are doing fine!
