well to completly cover yourself, have him be your caregiver, get him all the papers he needs etc... hes technically growing it, even if your the one tending to it, and such

For getting a recommendation, it depends on how likely you are to get busted! Yes, they get you legal as any other doctor, but I have heard that they are not as willing to go to court for you as many other doctors are. So they are cheap and you get what you pay for.
I would strongly suggest that you stay within the (now defunct) 6 mature plant limit. Or else get the doctor to write on your rec exactly how many plants you may grow and how many ounces you can have. The doctor's rec tops the state or county limits.
As for the club cards, I don't know. Never been in a club. I live in the "boonies". Our county's only club was shut down years ago. :(
To be legal ALL you need is a note from any doctor who can legally prescribe medicine stating he recommends that you use cannabis for your conditions! :) Your regular general practitioner can do it...but likely won't. :(
And Stinkybudz is right about the caregiver papers. But the rules on that have recently changed, so do some research! I believe now that he must provide more care than just the pot. Things are a bit shaky for caregivers right now. :wtf:
A second way around it, may be to draw up a rental agreement, where you are renting a specific piece of land from him (make a little fence or in some way mark it out). Then it would be no different than you renting an apartment from him and conducting a legal closet grow in your rented area.
