Your best advice, Is to make a grow log here. And go off your own research and help from others here.

Before I even started growing I got hold of Jorge Cervantes' grow DVD's and his medical growers bible (as mentioned by dutch pimp). I studied them well, and started growing. I am still on my first grow and it is growing great. Of course there have been some questions that I have put forward to this forum as well, and have recieved great advice.

I am loving this growing game! :)

The only problem with the grow guides is that major parts of the info goes obsolete as new techniques and insight comes to light.

Other than having everything you'd ever need on this site, The Marijuana Man video series (YouTube, Pot-tv.net) is one of the best, most up-to-date sources I've seen for growing cannabis. Also, a book can't answer your direct questions, like we do here.

Having a book is nice if you are away from your computer, but I learned more here than I ever did reading Mel Frank.

I hear you guys. I am ending my 1st grow TODAY!! So I am excited. I really didn't get many people to the grow log so I didn't update it much. I will post to it again tonight on harvest. I am going to start a new one as soon as the clones take root.

As for the site. I have to agree that there is almost unlimited info here. I have to say that I would have never bad as good of a 1st grow if it wasn't for here. I have upgraded everything for my new grow. From info I gained on here. I know Rusty and Dutch have answered alot of my questions. Thank you for that. I also go back and read alot of old post. I know it gets old answering questions that are asked every day. Anyway I just trying to learn as much as I can so I can be more informed. Anyway if you have more good reads or books im all ears.

Thanks again for the help so far guys.

Rusty is right that books are not as up to date as websites etc but they are a great start and the basics remain the same as far as how the plants grow, flower etc.

I second The Cannabis Grow Bible. I have read this from cover to cover many times, and even found it at B&N. I have a few books by Ed Rosenthal that are ancient but very helpful. My favorite book is one I made myself, by printing off every FAQ that pertained to my grow and every thread that had information I needed (such as WHs nute schedule). I sectioned this off in a binder and reference it all the time.
