Rip off weed prices

there has been a bit of a shortage of good quality weed in my area, and some dealers are trying to make the most of it by upping the prices,a couple of mates were told £25 an 1/8 or £160 on the oz, saying weed prices are increasing everywhere, this is bullshit as i have asked a well connected person whos friends bring in 80% of the weed into this area.i'm paying £120 on the oz, don't let these greedy bastards increase the price use another dealer if possible:thumbsup:

$450-$600/oz... you're kidding right? I've smoked alot of the top quality strains out there and I dont even think they're worth that much. The most I'm paying for anything is 400/oz anything over than that is just the dealer throwing his tax on it. I pay for weed.. not ppls ridiculous taxes. I guess you live somewhere where it is extremely hard to find good weed because that's too much.

It is pretty damn good like taking a trip to Amsterdam and never leaving your town, enough to warrant paying more than settling for beasts. Again, I wish I could pay less, but that's what the price is and it's dictated by the individual based on the market. If your a dealer, you are cool but you are selling your shit for $400 an oz with his tax. If he hears that some people paid $500 for it, what motivation does he have for keeping it at $400? The only reason I can think of is to be cool and principles. But how many people really do that?

It's not that it's hard to get, it's that everyone wants that shit and people are paying that kind of money for that shit. Heck, I gave in and started it.

I'm sure this same weed, 2 hours away you'll be able to get easily for $300 an OZ. Works just like cigarettes, some places it's $3 a pack, some places it's $8 a pack. I just happen to live in an area where 1. A lot of singles 2. Most with good jobs and making lots of money 3. Who want to party. We also got one of the most anal police forces in the nation. I used to laugh when I heard stories of people paying $600 for an oz of weed. Now I don't, not at all.

Yeah prices are still $400 and up for an OZ here, if your lucky you can get em down to $320, but their usualy shit or mids or even from the bottom of the plant. I cant get over you guys paying so little, here medical is legal and prices are insane, thats life

I can get top quality herb in Washington for about 280-320 an ounce depending on various things.

Getting 'taxed' simply just means he was charged more or price was increased.

i agree:thumbsup:i only grow in the summer outdoors but have 2 good friends who grow all year so i'm not complaining:thumbsup:, it was just a heads up, a kilo is the same price as last year, it's just some of the small time dealers being greedy.if people look around theres never really a shortage they just need to find some good contacts, but that is easier said than done:jointsmile:

In Europe about 80% of what's smoked is hash (counted over all) and street quality is mostly pretty bad but ofc there are exceptions. I myself collect rarities and you wouldn't believe the quality of the top ones .1 grams will take your head off with some of these but street standard is really low and weak, about 4-6% thc in bad tasting hash is the normal streetstandard here especially in the nothern Europe since the good qualities gets sucked up to a big extent before it even makes it out of Spain, France and Italy.

But lets say you are an average Joe living here in sweden. Then you will almost always smoke Maroccan standard and that is a brown hash that can be good but most of the time it isn't.

$60-70 and here MJ is always sold in 5g and that's less than a quarter for you. The green is about $10 up from that.

welcome to the boards mate :thumbsup: i lived in brighton for a while, about 25 years ago:D don't see much quality hash about but come across it now and again useally about £20-£25 on the 1/8 0r £120-£150 on the oz. don't know if soap bar is still about, got offerd some last year £175 for a 9 bar but i don't smoke that shit.:jointsmile:

I'm with IR on this one . Buy some good quality seeds on the net and grow your own. I've got maybe $160cdn invested in a small closet grow. Have 3 pretty good plants going and should harvest 2-3 ozs off first crop. Only using 4 x20watt flo tubes so electricity cost isn't a big deal . Prices up here should be $100+ / quarter I figure. I don't have any real contacts so growing is the best option.
Plan to give lots away as well. Lots of people on tighter budgets with the economic slowdown. Could use a few extra smiles too . So spread the good word.

got that beat, :D ... we paid $15 for lids (ounces), 1965-1967 ... I still remember when the Columbian Gold flooded the streets of Peoria, and bumped it to $20, boy, was I pissed :wtf: ... took a couple more years to hit $30 - $35 ... :smokin:

I have a couple of pals who are able to score fine weed for $80 a half from their friend who has a wee grow op. It's just a little corner of a room with anywhere from 23 watts to 800 watts, depending on the size and time of the grow. They seem to be pleased with the arrangement. Otherwise the options in this rural area (other than knowing other growers) are "hydro" from quebec, which is a fairly steady supply of rock hard nuggets of mids touted as "hydro, man". It's hard to break up and even with a grinder it's too hard to roll a joint that doesn't 'canoe'. Cost is around $300, I think. Of course many (usually younger) people are in totally different social circles and you can hear about a little 'fire' like Jack Herer or similar from the univercity or big city for $400 and up. AK-47 wass going for $400 but the grower found peeps in Conn. willing to pay $700. Must be outrageous good stuff, huh? :wtf:
