Hello there , I have been growing for many years with 1000 HPS lights
but I hear now that there are new LED lights that could replace the HPS lights and that they consume less power and create little or no heat at all.

So my question is , is this true , can LED lights replace HPS lights and if so , will it give the same yield , quality and potency ??

thanks

in a word, NO ... someday LED will be the way to go, but we aren't there yet ... I'll be one of the first in line ... I still have not seen ONE high-quality plant done solely under LED, that couldn't have been bettered by any number of light combinations ... :smokin:

heres a link for lighting, they still recomend using a 600 watt hps but it only turns on a few hours a day. led lights will cost close to 8000 for a 4x8 tray, pretty cool stuff though.
