I have noticed that our plants have been mutating/turning colors in the past week or so and am worried about them and how the problems now will affect the plants later on. They are about three weeks old today. we JUST found our pH testing stuff (for both soil and fert/watering testing) so we think that the pH is off. There are these strange mutations that some of the older leaves have that we think may be due to over-fertilization throughout the second week (we did not fertilize the first week/early seedling stage). Some leaves are wavy. Two plants have a leaf that is missing from the other side (it never grew). Any ideas?
INFO
- Indoor
- FoxFarm Light Warrior SOIL (nothing added)
- No pH testing done yet :/
- Water source: Tap water until recently, we take tap wter and let it sit outside overnight so Cl can evaporate
- Age: 3 weeks
- Fert: FoxRarm Grow Big
- Rate: Fertilized every other day in somewhat smaller than normal amount (watered/moistened everyday while they are in such small containers, because they dry out easily)
- Lights: HPS 400 watt about 2.5 ft from plant (emits a TON of heat)
- Air Temp: around 75 day 68ish at night (a pretty good estimate)
- Hunidity: Unknown
- Lighting schedule: 16 Hrs light; 18 Hrs dark
- Ventilation- closet door is left open when we are home ( about 4 hrs/day)
