How do i start growing out side?

I live in east TN and need to know when and how to prepare my spot? and when i should plant the seeds? should i start the seeds inside first? first time grower any help would be great thanks

im planning to grow outside this spring/summer, and this is what im planing to do:

1: Pick a plot or multiple plots

2: dig a 2ft x 2ft hole

3: pick a type of soil you want, theres lots of different ideas around on these forums.

4: start some seeds indoor around mid/late feb. and earlier you can use clones

5: find out when the last frost is in your area

6: plant, water, feed, and let the sun do the work?

this is just what Im thinking of doing, i could be wrong.

one thing I'd add: if starting plants indoors, (which I would do), give them some shade the first week, gradually expose them to the severe, direct sun ... :smokin:
