as for now, i do use a bucket. it is a reservoir for my ebb and flow, though. however, i am in the process of collecting an ass-load of the tidy cats 35lb litter buckets to use as DWC containers. i actually just made one, complete with a full nutrient regimen and super healthy mother as a gift to my friend.

Below is a pick of my one plant (her name is Genesis). She went into flower at 16" and (at 3 1/2 weeks into flower) is now around 65", I am bending the shit out of the upper branches. I done a FIM job on her a week or two before flower and have about 10 huge buds (are they called cola's?) about 8-10" long each, plus there are loads (must be 20 or more) of smaller buds lower down. I am hoping for a bumper harvest...:jointsmile: well for a 250w HPS anyway.

We did indeed cross paths in another thread Skeet, can't remember which one though. I did check out the 150w club, some interesting reading, although I only had time to skim through it not have a good nose, so will probably have another look sometime soon.

BTW, love the plants man, what sort of yield do you get from them?

i got 4 oz off the Northern skunk and 6 off the Rhino.

The NS is great looking, tasting, and smoking bud.

The Rhino looks like shit. I'm blaming it on the wild temperature swings this winter (44 - 80 degrees...that is me being lazy.) Either way, the mobile scrog is the last run i'll be doing with the rhino for quite a while.

If I get 4 oz off my plant I will be over the moon. That would last me about 6-8 months! Can't wait to see how much I get, I am being realistic and hoping for 3 (or 4 :D) ounces, as I am only using a 250w hps, and it's my first grow.

I would guess 4 because my last run that I fucked up REALLY REALLY bad, I had 6 plants that finished bout 15 in tall got me 2.5 oz total. so a healthy plant should get waaaaay better than that.

just cleaned up the rhino last night. Sadly the final dry weight was 4.7 oz. not 6 like i was predicting. fucking garbage. But i guess it's my fault. I let the temps go wild (45-80) and i think that really messed it up. The last rhino i grew was just as big, temps were 65-80 and it was 7 oz dry. not to mention it looked, smelled, and smoked great. Let this be a lesson to all of us lazy growers.

TEMPERATURE MATTERS!

makes me wonder if i fucked up the Northern Skunk too. At least that is quality bud.

Hey guys, hows things. Just checked on my plant to change the nutes etc. and it's gone ballistic! Buds are huge compared to just a few days ago. I normally just top up each day, and haven't been paying too much attention. The nutes I drained off had a pH of 5.5 and an EC of 3.8! (conversion of 640ppm) so approx 2432 ppm! It's nearly 5 weeks into flower, what do you guys think (excuse the burnt leaves, struggling to control the growth and the light can't be raised anymore, and it's only a 250w)..... oh, and the third pic is where one of the colas has grown past the light and is trying to get through the ceiling.:D

week 5 you say? hopefully in the next couple weeks you'll see the buds start to swell. Right now it's all pistils! but most strains look like that at 5 weeks. I know my white rhino does.

Just cut a bud from my bucket grow, not many amber trichs, so a real giggly head high at the moment. It is nearly 9 weeks into flower.

Bearing in mind that this is my first ever grow, let me know what you think. It is soooo loaded with crystals. I have posted a few pics (zoom in to see the crystals), I would say this is only about 5% of the bud that is on the plant, so I think I am gonna get a nice big yield for a 250w HPS!

Oh and me and a few friends gave a bit of it a test run the other night and it was truly awesome! :thumbsup:

First couple nugs I took cloudy and the high is soaring and heady. Slaps the lazy right out, I've run around for the last 4 days finishing projects left un-done for a year or more. MY WIFE LOVES IT!!!!!! I'm over the Mendo shit though, still turned out like shit this second time around. The cold ass temps killed my overall yield and I had mad trouble dialing in a formula, Latewoods was way strong and lucas too lean. OK, got bath remodeling to finish now.....Canna out!

Hey all, found a tiny bit of mould on one of the buds while looking for amber trichs, so harvested it and removed the mould. It's one of the larger buds from the plant but there are still several similar ones left.

I've posted some pics 'cos we all like pics! There is a hazelnut and a 5p coin in the pic for size comparison.

I've been thinking about expanding our group to include Aero users! DWC and Aero are pretty much the opposite of each other, but at the same time they are closely related and usually dwc growers go onto Aero.

I went from dirt buckets to aero in 4"ABS pipes

i'm not cool enough to grow in a bucket yet, or dro for that matter, but i found an air pump at petco, their brand, that ran from like 30-212 gallons. it has four outputs. it was $24.99. i plan on getting one in the somewhat near future. if i do i'll post back, but if anyone gets one in the meantime let us know.

it doesn't appear to be on their website, but it's in the stores. their website sucks by the way.

Im new to this what is a rapid rooter plug??? I was thinking maybe to start germinating the seeds and when they germinate somehow put them in the medium and keep the water to it can reach the baby root and after about a week or so then just keep the water an inch away from the net pot what do you think????

I don't belong to this group, so I hope I'm not thread-jacking ... 'rapidrooters', are available at any good nursery, or hydroponic store ... they are about an inch in diameter, and made of compressed bark ... they have no pH problems, and retain/lose water perfectly ... a bag of 50 costs about $13 here in norCal, and are perfect for both seedstarting, and cloning ... place a DRY seed into the plug, and place into a bubble-cloner, etc (rubbermaid tub with holes cut in lid for plugs, bubbler underneath, simple) ... do the Search here for 'bubble-cloner', I made a couple of 'how-to-build' threads here ... I won't recommend the 'wet paper-towel method', that has killed more viable seeds than anything I can think of ... good luck :smokin:

Thought I would drop in and say hey. Been REALLY busy working on my house that got damaged from a storm, a 50' tree that exploded from a lightning strike that left wood chunk schrapnel in a 100' circle, some family issues and in all this, trying to give the girls and racecar a lil' attention so I can stay sane. I promise to check in more often now that the "shit storm" has subsided. lol
I'm still in buckets but switched to soiless since that allows for longer periods in between watering and basic care. I aquired a BuddahxPurps cross that is INSANE!! It grows monsterous and produces HUGE buds. Dude grows them with T5's soo I am very excited to HID those bitches. It tastes like a whole gammet of candy blends with a micro hint of..well, tastes like how rose petals smell, if that makes any sense. I'll post some pics when she gets bulky. Lata ya'll

Hi, I have a waterfarm 8 and would like to join. I am adding a recirculation kit tonight...
