I am going to use this log to keep track of my Indoor grow over the course of the next year. It will begin as a single closet grow which will grow over time, as the space and funding becomes available, into a grow with 2 Closets for Vegging clones for approx 6-8 weeks prior to flowering and 2 flowering rooms.

Strains being grown: Diesel (From genetically chron mother)
White Widow (Same Deal)
Strain X - I will call this strain X until flowering offers a better determination of its strain. It came from a seed from an outdoor grow that contained only 2 strains Riverweed (AOTA X Master Kush) and Strawberry Cough X Diesel, so I expect it will be one of the two or a chron cross.... Time will tell...

Below Specs are for final grow op setup, only 1 closet currently in use and not yet finished. Project will develop over the next few months so keep your eyes posted if you'd like to keep track of the transformation from apartment to stealth grow op.

I would like to note also that I am getting this post of the first couple weeks up quick so it may be lacking but I'll be back to edit/add any forgotten info later. Reminders/Questions/Intelligent Suggestions always welcome.

Veg. Closets X 2
Measurements: 28" X 46" X 64"
Light: ~300 Watts CFL
Other Equip: ~100CFM Carbon Scrubber

Flower Rooms X 2
Measurements: TBD
Light: 400 Watt HPS - Inline Cooled
Other Equip: C02 Injection System, ~150 CFM Carbon Scrubber

Soil: Due to limited winter availability my first plants were started in a mix of Expert Gardner potting soil and Miracle Grow Organic with perlite added to increase soil porosity/aeration.

Note: The pics in the following posts are in order. I started the grow before the closet was properly outfitted into a grow room and the building of the closet box is still underway. I expect to finish later today so I will be sure to add updated pics later. But again...the pics in the following posts are in order.

For the Picture References:

Taken: Jan 22nd - Strain X @ 14 Days

Diesel mother plant is of unknown age...comes from generations old mother...

The seriously dense leafy bush is Strain X.
The Diesel is the more sparse mother plant in the back that I've been taking cuttings from.
Non-pot plant is Basil... obviously... I like to cook.
Plants in small pots were started from seed and strains are entirely unknown.

1st Clones Taken
Following sterile cutting procedures in clean room environment...
...cuttings were taken below third nodes
...at which point lowest fan leaves/shoot were removed
...a small slice of skin was removed from the bottom 1/4" of the cutting
...the cutting was dipped in water to remove air bubbles
...coated in Shultz RootOne rooting hormone powder
...placed carefully into peat plugs
...set in sealed in humidity dome greenhouse enclosure.

White Widow Mother Arrives Home!

She's being treated for mites at the moment. Alternating days of spraying her down with a neem oil solution, and cleansing her with a water bath. She should be cured soon and be able to join the rest of the fam. For now she's by her self in the bathroom so as to not contaminate the rest of the plants.

Clones looked a little wilty today. When I checked on them I found the corner of the dome lid slightly ajar and suspect there was a low level of humidity present causing the droopiness. They perked right back up as soon as I put a little bit more water in and sealed it up. All's looking well so far. No roots yet.

2 Small plants from bag seed starting to grow nicely.

Picked up the supplies necessary to create a sealed enclosure for my plants. This will lightproof the closet so no light escapes the cracks to be noticed/questioned by anyone, and it will also add an extra level of security.

As far as security regarding the operation... A wireless surveillance system will be established on location that runs through a wireless internet feed so as to be monitored from a remote location with motion activated notification system so as to provide myself with instant notification anytime anything takes place at the location so I may monitor the site anywhere I have cell phone service.... Technology these days.... and all for approx $250...

Note about the closet. Due to a light socket in the closet that is equipped with an electrical outlet, all electric will be run from inside the closet meaning to leads running around the floor and into the closet, it will be 100% self contained. I will be removing the light fixture to add an inline exhaust intake to draw in cool air from the attic, but until the box is sealed, this is not yet necessary, temps are on point right now.

Last couple pics of the closet as it stands now.

I still need to...
...put in the ceiling
...make DIY light mover system to easily rearrange and raise/lower lights (I will make a DIY post of this when I do it....)
...add the necessary ventilation system (until C02 injection system added if i decide to do so for the veg rooms as well)
...caulk all the edges with an opaque black caulk
...add a second layer of 6mil poly for added seal guarantee
...add mylar for maximum reflectivity.

We Have Roots!

@ 8 Days 2 clones have shown their first roots. Interesting they are both the clones taken from Strain X.

I also took a few more Diesel Clones, 4 to be exact, so now I stand at 2 Strain X Rooted Clones, and 16 Hopefully soon to root Diesel clones.

Strain X Plant is showing yellowing of largest oldest leaves. I have been considering upgrading her pot size and suspect this will help, but due to having planted her originally in Expert Gardner/Miracle Grow Organic, there are already nutrients provided and I am nervous about overnuting if the case is that she's lacking N, which I suspect is likely. Any opinions/suggestions welcome. If the yellow spreads i'll likely start her on a small dose of a primarily N based fert.

Other than that, all is looking well. Grow room developing nicely.

Your set up is pretty tit's. Only thing I have to offer is to make sure you don't overload that outlet and trip your breaker. I had that problem once running through a light socket.

P.S. - I used schultz root powder and had great results first time around, after that it went to shit for reason. May be a problem in the future. Peace

Sour D...

Does this make you less angry with the world?

Would you like to knock my F1 White Widow from Serious Seeds of the best genetics of a Widow I've ever seen...? Hmmm...

Would you like to shit on my other strains? This week I will be receiving my baby Grapefruit, Blueberry, Gravity, and Strawberry Cough for a total of 6 genetically sound strains and one unknown.

I went away for a couple days and my Diesel mother somehow went to straight shit. Looks like she was dying quick. I transplanted her, took all the healthy cuttings i could, trimmed any dead matter and am hoping she'll regenerate in a healthy manner. Prob kick her some nutes this afternoon and kick start the process.

And as far as how the clones are doing.... even if momma were to die...

I've had a 100% success rate with my clones so far and if all continues, I will have almost 20 rooted clones of the same genetics and I will simply choose the best of the bunch to serve as the new mom.

In the past month the grow closet has continued to undergo serious renovations and is not even yet complete a month later. Much has also taken place with the development of my plants of which 3 are now currently flowering, a half dozen new clones are rooting, 8 clones have been vegging for a few weeks, a bunch were donated to good causes, a DIY CO2 system has been added to the flowering box via sugar yeast and water fermentation method. The closet has also been rearranged to contain a flowering box at bottom and veg room up top so as to provide for a constant cycle of vegging/flowering. The flower room is a fully sealed grow environment with no ventilation and the top is constantly cycled air. Currently there is about 200 watts of 6500K spectrum to veg, and about 200 watts of 2700 on the few flowering plants. Flower room will ultimately end up with a 400 watt HPS but the CFLs were just to get things kickstarted with the quickness. Anyhow, I'm posting the pictures of the developments without details but there's enough to show the general progression and if you have questions feel free to ask.

Apologies for the delay in posting the pictures. I was distracted by life for a little while there, but I'm back...and pic's are incoming... I have also added fans for ventilation of the bottom flower chamber which will ultimately end up with a 400 watt air coolable sealed hood w/hps light and use CFLs only as supplemental lighting during flowering, but in effort to get things kick started with what was readily available. Anyhow, enjoy the photographic progression of the grow rooms development and I'll update again soon with newer photos as all the ones being posted are a week or two old at this point.

Last pics for this update. Last pics on the previous post are of the leaves I trimmed from the plants. I have been told to expect that to happen with this strain and all are looking healthy and beautiful now that I have trimmed/pruned. I'll update with new pics soon.

Alright, time for a few fresh pictures taken today of how the system is as it currently stands. I am yet to get a 400 watt hps to install to the flower box, I'll likely do so at the end of the month, but the fans are set up to provide intake and outake so its ready for it when the time comes. For now, plants are flowering beautifully under the CFLs and are happy to have better fresh moving air now.

I have to work on sealing the bottom door better so when I get the hps I can turn it into a sealed environment and continue Co2 injection.

As far as it looking like a robot... I think it looks more like a space ship, but either or... I don't think either are a very good disguise for whats going on inside haha.

You can notice in the photos that I recently did some pruning to direct the growth to the colas and area's receiving adequate light as development of all lower bud sights would be slow and detrimental to the development of the largest juiciest colas possible. :-)

An Appropriate day to move some babies into flowering and take some updated photos. Finished exhaust on bottom box for ventilation until I get my new HPS light which I will hopefully have within the next week. I added another approx 100 watts of CFL light for the added two plants. The two new plants will be flowered in approx 2.5 gallon buckets. They were vegged in only solo cups and flourished so I am going to try a flower in a small size bucket to fit more plants into the area, although yes they'll be smaller I expect they'll be compact and pack a good amount of weight/area. So this will be a run to test that theory out. Half of the closet will be larger plants in 5gal buckets, the other half will be in smaller 2.5 gallon buckets and time will yield my answer. As for now take a look at the updated pics and enjoy. Thanks for looking.
