I'd just leave it up to the ships to start having there own security force on board. They've got plenty of money.

Well it says one thing but it looks like a resolution that could have loopholes in it. I like the idea but the way we handle these things is usually with negligence. Under the assumption that it means combating them on international waters or at least not in any specific country so that we don't simply ignore one's soveriegnty turning a countries infrastructure into swiss cheese, then I think it would be a good idea....if we weren't already so strained in every other direction. Come on man. What the hell are we doing...we're going bankrupt at this point with problems right now involving Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Georgia, and Israel. We have so many problems right now in the way our system works we can't afford this. At some point our money is going to be practically useless and there goes our big player status....the only that that will save us then is our man power which we're trying to waste right now on some stupid little pirates. I will cry the day we begin to take a partial isolationist approach to our international policy and when we stop these absurd bailouts and start allocating our money properly.
