Hey Canna.com, I'm hoping that somebody with a little experience can help me. I use MMJ to keep my post traumatic stress and high level anxiety under wraps, my question for anyone that has these same problems (esp. anxiety) is this:
Do certain strains, I'm guessing the more sativa biased, actually cause your anxiety to worsen?
I don't always have an easy way to get to Oakland or SF to the club, so occasionally I will buy my weed off the streets, and it seems a lot of times like the weed that I get on the streets really maxes my anxiety worse.
When I can go to the club, I always get Purple Urkel, or some other such indica biased bud, and I never have these problems. Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?
Thanks for the help.

I completely agree with you.You have done a great job.Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) develops after a terrifying ordeal that involved physical harm or the threat of physical harm. The person who develops PTSD may have been the one who was harmed, the harm may have happened to a loved one, or the person may have witnessed a harmful event that happened to loved ones or strangers.
The Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Studies is a specialized program within Weill Cornell Medical College's Department of Psychiatry. a pioneer in the field of anxiety disorders, the Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Studies offers a state of the art approach to patient care that brings innovation to tried-and-true therapeutic techniques. For many years the program has provided psychological consultation to the New York Presbyterian Hospital Burn Center and has implemented a number of research-based clinical interventions designed specifically for individuals suffering from burn injuries, terrorist attacks, motor vehicle accidents, interpersonal violence, and life threatening illnesses. If you have gone through a traumatic experience, it is normal to feel lots of emotions, such as distress, fear, helplessness, guilt, shame or anger.

I'd also have to agree...It seems some strains are more sociable than the "street" stuff. Most of the beasters around this area are indica dominant so they are great for social gathering, but unfortunately I can't afford that all the time so I end up getting some "mids" (light mexican brick) which makes me paranoid and gives me bad anxiety. Makes me feel like I don't want to be around anybody. If I'm around a lot of people I have that anxious feeling like everybody is watching me. It's kinda weird, but if I smoke A LOT before I go anywhere then I will be fine. IDK I don't have PTS but I definitely get anxiety when smoking certain strains....
