Will the addition of a pair of light movers decrease light usage without decreaseing the harvest?

You could increase the harvest with Co2.

Ya i do that already, but thats not the issue, adding Co2 will increase yeild, but it will not cut down on the electric bill. or turn the same electric bill into double the garden.

well that may not be fully true. You don't find that co2 decreases on the time you veg and flower by several weeks? When I use co2 during veg I save about 2 weeks because the plants reach the desired size sooner. The same with flowering so in the big picture it does save on the electric bill, for me anyway.

OK .... Zandor ... Ive read a decent amount of your postings... you give some decent advice.. however my question isnt about CO2. The question is simply :

Will the introduction of a pair of light movers in a room decrease the end harvest?

Or

Will it have little effect on the harvest, while cutting the over all cost and detectability of the garden?

I know the math says it will work........But not everything that looks good on paper should actually be done. If i cant get a solid answer on this. What i mean by solid is an answer from someone who has already done it. Ill have to try it out for myself to see whats up.

I got similar results with light movers. Years ago i used one with 1000 watt MH and i got similar results if i was using 2 1000 watt MH hung form the ceiling.

With regards to how long ago KanMan. Why dont you use the same set up if it yeilded similiar results?

Yes light movers can replace a second light thatâ??s the idea behind them.

If you add Mylar (if you are not using it already) this will help too by reflecting lumens back into the plant.

Now, I'll throw you a curve ball...hehe

Your next time around hit me up and we can talk about growing even more buds with the same room and increase your yield by adding back in the lights you just took out. You will not save on the electricity bill but your will grow more pot then you have in the past so the ounce per kilowatt becomes more affordable in the bigger picture.

No Milar currently... just never seemed needed with 4 600 HPS lamps running in such a small room... Basically the idea was to make it like daylight in there.. which it does the job very well... but by all means if you have a sweet tip clue me in)..

On a side note the rest of the set up is like so..

700 CFM can fan with 8 inch carbon filter, on a 110v thermastat set at 70 degrees, this has worked fantastic for me so far, walls inside are painted flat white as well..

I do no humidity control I only CO2 in the veg.
