I was always taught you can use the "ane's but not the "ene's. Butane, propane......gasolene, kerosene. Due to soot, gasses and other harmfull byproducts. This could be wrong though. I've often seen greenhouses being heated by them so who knows.

ive read in a book, that if i use a kero lamp, that it would supply enough co2 for a 6x6 room, but i do thinj it said k1`only,thats the clear suff, but it also said it would be bad if i used to much,im thinking a salomander this size might be alitte bit for a 8x19 ft room, thats why in asking.but it does get real cold were i live

If heats not your problem then fire up that salamander. Your going to need a way to regulate the co2. Since you have no idea how much co2 it puts out, I would like to suggest a monitor/controller of some kind. When I need more heat in my room I just fire more lamps, works real good(:
LOL a salamander

I hope you dont live in the same building as your grow area. Salamanders and all "ene" type heaters need to have fresh air ventilation or us fresh air breathers tend to stop breathing :(
