i'm just wondering what job i could get..

I'm 18 and have no clue what to do with my life. The only thing that interests me is marijuana. It's a part of my every day routine and I love learning and studying about it. Anyway, I want a job trying to make it decriminalized or something to do with it. I live in Iowa and have no clue how to go about doing that, anyone know?

i dont know how you can go about getting a real professional job in politics or like an activist or something, but if all else fails, you can always try to get a job at a local head shop and be around that stuff all the time, its pretty good for a part time job or something? sorry i cant help much

if you're really good with the science and stuff you can try snagging a job at a seedbank, they could probably use some people who can splice genes n' shit to make some new strains

I know this isn't the only path to take but....COLLEGE YAY! Actually it sucks and it is a bit overrated but the most important thing you learn there is A. How to work hard (unless your just smart) and B. You learn how to teach yourself, which in my opinion is the best tool I managed to snag. Now the possibilities are endless for me. I used to feel lost when I didn't have someone sitting there spoon feeding me but now I don't even think I need a teacher. Plus going to college may not prepare you for life but it gives you better credentials.

I would say if you want to do something with Pot either do something in Botony or go into politics. If you go to college that just opens up a window of opportunities for you with internships, professors who have connections, plus a whole playground to practice political activism. And bad grades is not an excuse because you can easily go to a community college and transfer very easily and community colleges accept anyone with a high school diploma.

Go to college, study political science with a minor in botany, join NORML at college, become NORML president, graduate, wait 20 years, become real president, change laws :)

As stated earlier, going to college and majoring in political science could help you do something like become a lobbyist for an organization like NORML. Might not be the worst idea, I would guess (hope) pro-marijuana lobbying will increase in the coming years.

In psychology/neuroscience or medicine you could work on researching it's effects, be a documentary filmmaker, or an author or journalist and write about marijuana if you like writing.
