These are two leaves from my plants. They were the only ones on the plant like them, and were both located near the very bottom of the main stem. Anyone know what this is and if it is a problem, or am I just freaking out over mother nature. The log for the two plants is in my signature if you are intrested.

Pic 1 is the two leafs.
Pic 2 is a leaf from plant A.
Pic 3 is a leaf from plant B.
Pic 4 is plant A currently.
Pic 5 is plant B currently.

Both plants are on day 13 of 12/12.

Thanks for any help!

I have one out of seven which looks just like that. I'd go with crap genetics. The plants are fine, you'll have a great harvest!:stoned:

i think you're freaking out for nothing. Some older leaves just die off....that's nature at work. Your plants look happy and very healthy. Good work!!

Don't let them get rootbound!!

Thank you guys for all your input. They are currently in 5gal buckets so I don't think they will be getting rootbound any time soon. Thanks for the concern though.

I'm fine with using Miracle Grow soil and nutes, but some minor adjustments to them are usually necessary to grow cannabis. (extra perlite, adding less H2O during waterings, adjusting MG's nute ratios...) Are you by chance using the Moisture Control formula? Reason I ask is that it looks like overwatering to me. Are you letting the lower root zones dry-out between waterings?

Hi Rusty. No it isn't MG:MC soil, its just MG potting soil. They are in 5USG buckets, and I water about 1/4USG (960mL) of water every 3 days, and by that time they seem to be drooping of thirst. Is this sufficient? My next grow will be 4 flowering plants in 3USG buckets. Any suggestion of a good watering schedule? Something like 600mL every 3 days?

Actually, I give my 3 gallon ladies about a quart every couple of days during the winter. I'm guessing you get no run-off? Could you be starving the lower root zones? Have you flushed-out the accumulated salts and ferts lately? Have you transplanted lately?

I transplanted about 2 weeks ago and flushed last week. I don't get much if any run-off at all. That is why I was wondering how much to water them in the 5gallon buckets. One quart is 960mL, so I suppose I should water them more.

This is the method I use to determine watering:
On your next watering day, (no nutes) add your quart of ph'd water, wait a few minutes...add another, wait...
Keep doing this till you see how much water it takes to start seeing the run-off trickle out. Use this ammount as a base line for watering. Likely you'll need to adjust your watering schedule, as it can take a while before soil dries enough to water again. Also, if just watering enough for a small ammount of run-off...likely you'll need to flush more often to wash away the salts and excess nutes. I do so monthly.
Do you have enough drainage in the bottom of the bucket? If not, a couple of 1/2" holes at 4" from bottom, and 6" from bottom (opposing sides) helps. You can cover the holes with duct-tape so water doesn't flow out of 'em, if necessary, but for me the extra holes are mandatory, lol.

Freaking out over nothing. /the plants look great. /low leaves drop in low light after a while. Make sure you have a big enough pot though. sorry i am having a hard time writing, i sliced my finger on a pot yesterday and its duct taped together.
