LST questions

Plants will finish in 1ft. diameter 3 gal buckets. Plan is to LST, tying them down all around the rim of the bucket. How much veg time should I give them so that they finish about this size? I know strain matters but this is a random assortment of good seed. Only one is clearly sativa dominant.

Anyone with LST experience have some guidelines they go by?

Any kinda timeline is kinda hard to say = too many variables -> strain , medium , lighting , food etc... I thinks Stinkys common answer to this type of question is appropriate = "how long is a piece of string" .
