well my plant only gets watered a gallon every saturday.

it is in MG moisture control with 2 cups perlite and 1 cup vermiculite extra.

the soil is dry down to about a inch and three quarters.

but the little bastards keep coming back.

Pick up the pot and look under it.
Is there a catch tray? Is it attached to the pot? If so, tear it off. Then check it for muck and wetness. Is there moisture hanging out under the pot?
NExt, look around the room for water. If you don't find any, look outside. My friend has a bunch of non-pot houseplants in dirt, and he is near a paper mill (muck and wet, oh my!), and he's got fungus gnats coming out of his ears.
Finally, hang yellow sticky traps to catch the little shits.

The gnat eggs was probably in the MG soil. They were in my MG soil...:wtf:..good potting soil is suppose to be semi-sterile.

thanks ya'll. Seems everytime I use that dadgum MG, I hatch out a new batch of the little bastards. Now I know why.

I'll add potting soil to the list of things I need to buy when I leave the hills.

That's the last time I try to buy cheap potting soil on 75% off.

Try to find a store that sells good potting soil; one that DOESN'T store the soil outside in the rain...
