Marijuana Seeking Etiquette

So all my connections moved away in 2006, and I kinda stopped smoking weed for the past year and a half. Now I've been craving it since I have new friends around, and I have no way of getting any. Seriously, not one little inch. My dad was nice and asked his friend that has weed, and supposedly "he didn't have any".. but I'm not so sure. But anyway, the point of the thread is..

I have this uncle who lives in the middle of the woods and always has weed on him, but I don't really know him that well... although we always see each other at Christmas and whatnot. We never really talk, but we know each other and we're friendly. So I was wondering would it be bad manners to drive up to his house, and ask to buy some from him? I want to be sure I'm not doing anything against the Stoner Laws & Guidelines.

So tell me, what should I do? :(

Yeah dude I would try and get in contact with him somehow, either through phone, email, or letter if you have to and just casually ask how he's doing and some other small talk and then just ask him if he's good. I mean what is he going to do? Disown you? He's your uncle man. Family ties can be excellent connections.

Well the thing is.. he's kinda like, a crackhead that lives in a trailer in the middle of the woods with no electricity. =/ He's a bum and lowlife with no ambitions or dreams, and just lives off his parents'. But he's the only one I know that has weed. So :( I don't know what to do.

I would not ask to buy weed from him, but rather ask him if he knows where you can get some. Let the conversation flow from there. I bet he will offer you some, unless he doesn't give a rats ass about family.

Grow your own. Scoring weed isn't worth associating with crackheads. But seriously, our site etiquette asks that you not discuss other drugs in non-medical forum sections.
The best way to find a reliable and professional-acting connect is the same way as getting a nice girlfriend- go out and join activity groups that do things potheads like, like kayaking and hiking and pottery and organic gardening and surfing and all sorts of outdoor hippie-ish activities. Give it some time to get to know your crowd, and eventually someone will break out some green and at that point, it's not impolite to say, "Oh man, I really miss having access to this stuff, if you ever have any extra that you want to get rid of, I'd be SO happy to hear from you and hang out" and give him your number. Do that a couple times and someone will eventually offer you some help. But, just like in dating, don't act TOO eager, because that is bound to freak people out and give them that narc vibe.

I moved to a new town. I knew NO ONE! I signed up at the local community college, and after 2 weeks of sitting and talking at the "stoner/freethinker" table at school, I got invited to a party. I showed the kids that a "little old lady" could clear a 4 foot bong.....and it was easy after that! :thumbsup:

So you might want to further your education a bit! ;) Night classes, yoga and ceramics classes always had a fair percentage of heads in them. :D

well where i work, it kind of goes with the territory since it has to do with food, but I've moved around several times to places where I didn't know anyone and found it within the first few days at each of my jobs.

Also going to community college so that's another easy place to find it.

It's really easy to at least get stoned at concerts, too. Majority of the places will have joints being passed. Usually as long as smoking is allowed, then you're golden.

have you tried getting a job, or if you have a job, asking around? i wasnt even looking for people with weed there and it turned out that 2 of my coworkers sell and everyone was hella cool. you just gotta be open. it also didnt hurt that i lived in the bay area where it was hard to find people who didnt smoke. hahaha
