It might be posted in the activism section and if so, I don't really care. LOL, this place gets far more traffic than that forum. Also, if this has already been posted, STICKY IT for the next 17 hours. VOTE!!!!
An effort being led by members of Shroomery, Dailykos, Grasscity, Marijuana.com, and other notable websites is currently under way to push for a marijuana related issue to reach the top of Obama's new Web 2.0 policy website. On this website, users can ask questions, and the top questions will likely get answered by Obama and his staff. Up to this point, there has been very little organized involvement on issues on Obama's new site. However, marijuana activists are some of the first ones to make a strong push to get their voices heard. This Marijuana related question went from 200 votes to 1600 and went from question #240 to question #11 in just a day. With more activism, this issue can be front and center on Obama's official website, change.org.
To be a PART of this news, I urge all of you to do the following:
1) Go to Change.gov: The Obama-Biden Transition Team | Open for Questions (http://change.gov/page/content/openforquestions) and register. It is very easy, you don't even need to check your email to verify.
2) Now go to the page two (or, if by the time you read this, if it is on the front page, page 1) and vote this question up:
"Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?"
3) Watch as it climbs to the front page, and wait for Obama's answers.
4) Post on ALL other marijuana forums and email it to friends who care about this issue.
Enjoy watching Obama answer this question and feel good about your political involvement.
