:) thanks, Treetops, good to see ya  ... those are under the new 1000-watt HPS, I'm using the same lamp, for the entire grow ... even though there's too many plants, for just the single lamp, they're not stretching much ... I'll try sexing them in a week, or so ... a couple days ago, I started feeding with 1/2-dose of Fox Farm Grow Big, and 1/2-dose of Fox Farm Tiger Bloom, to provide for a mild 'jump-start' on the flowering ... I'll pick up a jar of non-sulfured, blackstrap molasses, the next time I'm in the grocery store, and can remember it :D ... I'm planning on switching to 12/12 on the 14th ... I will place some outdoors, to finish, some are for 'seeders' ... gotta go outdoors, the single lamp won't do that many plants justice, she's spread a little thin, as it is ... our area is swarming with some sort of Japanese beetle, they're doing a real bad number on the trees and bushes ... and, moles are everywhere ya step :wtf: ... all this, PLUS, I don't 'do' outdoors, worth a darn :wtf: ... I got my work cut out for me ...

here's the el-cheapo lamp/exhaust setup, and plants, on the 29th veg. day ... just to remind, these are from my stash of 3-year-old seeds, most of which, were started as DRY seeds, into moistened potting soil cups ... nothing fancy here, this is as simple as it gets ... not to mention, the LACK of attention they're getting :wtf: ... it's a WEED ! :D ...

I just switched our plants over to flowering phase, a week earlier than planned ... it will lessen the yield, but I'm leaving the state in 2 weeks, and don't want to leave my newbie-grower friend, with any 'mystery' plants ... so far, no firm evidence of sex is showing, so we flipped, after 33 days of vegging ... I recommend a vegging period of 6-8 weeks, for best results, but in this case, I had to break my own rules ... I'm very glad you folks are enjoying my NorCal Daddys Girl, as much as I do  ... she's a stroke of luck, no doubt about it :D

my couple Sour Jack grows went about 58 days, for 10% amber, I 'think' :wtf: ... grow logs were lost in my fire, and, my memory is shaky, to say the least :D (I could stop smoking for awhile, and regain my memory, but that would defeat the purpose ;)) ...
yes, I believe I'm on 'good terms' with Hemp Depot :D ... Brad and crew are as honest as the day is long, really great folks  ...
a new NCDG seedcrop is in progress, and will be maintained, after my departure ... since I have no permanent home base, I'm doing a couple 'johnny appleseed' grows, with sympathetic landowners :)... I am hoping for an exceptional NCDG seedplant, and will continue my fire-interrupted, 'Sour Girl' project, as well ... :smokin:
I posted a couple old pics, of a Sour Jack at 49 days, and a NorCal Daddy's Girl at 49 days ... my Sour Jacks were very good, but not fantastic ... however, they improve greatly, when crossed with the NCDG (they share a common Jack Herer geneology)

"Skunky grapefruit" pheno!...(jumps for joy)...Hope you like....your nod of approval has been my inspiration. With all the genes I have going, this is still my favorite. She is getting crosses many ways, lol... I got a great Herijuana cut, A11 Genius, and Chem#4 are all getting hit with my male NCDG this coming run.
Cant wait for your release IR!!! The masses are waiting!

all I can say is OHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
This is very possibly the finest nug I have ever had the pleasure of smoking.
and its not even cured yet.
Thank you Reaper for an incredible strain.
Thank you Whiskey, for the generous gift.
The top cola on the tall one was 14 inches and 12 g's:pimp:
more to come!!!
I have 3 more NCDG's 2 wks into flower and took 5 cuttings from them which are now taking root in soilcups.
The male got cut down into 4 cuttings, plus the "male-mom" and all male n female cuttings are in the veg chamber, taking root.
I was so inspired that I took 2 white widow cuttings from another fem i have in flower as well and they joined the group.
so, 5 NCDG clones, 2 WW clones and 4 NCDG Male clones.
The new diabolical plan is to put all 5 males and 1 NCDG female and 1 WW female into isolation and allow the orgy to commence.
I will also harvest as much pollen as possible for the future.
This should give me pure NCDG beans for my future grows and a NCDGxWW cross of 2 strains I positively LOVE!
Hope nobody minds me havin a lil grownd up fun ;)
Rock.

Hey IR and folks,
Haven't posted much but I do have a grow going. Took IR's advice and took some clones off my G13xBuddha. Used a rooting hormone but it seemed it took forever to take. But eventually I got the 3 under some lights.
Now in flowering phase for about 10 days. These clones are much branchier than the mother from seed. Way more flower sites.

hey, how are ya ! :D ... I've been busy traveling, in fact, packing up again, to head out in a few days ... south for the winter, ya know ... I have 2 seed projects, this time ... they were recently harvested, and are drying as we speak ... it will be 'awhile' before I have them in my hot little hands, for germination testing, and, sorting ... I have a 'NorCal Daddy's Girl F2' seedplant, and, her new sister, a 'NorCal Sour Girl' seedplant ... this new NCSG was my attempt to add a bit more 'body' to the spacey NCDG, without adding much variation in the genetic makeup ... she was the project I was working on, when the forest fire harvested them :( ... if all goes well, quality-wise, I should expect to post them up at Hemp Depot in 'awhile' ... sorry I can't be more specific, as to the timing, as I'm awaiting delivery, myself ... happy gardening, my friends

IR,
My old mother plant produced some seeds - about 20 . In thel ower branches. I don't know where the male pollen came from. Of course there were male G13's in the closet and of course your daddy's girl males before that. Haven't tried to grow them out as yet.

antman, either way you go, sounds like you have two good possible pollen sources, for those seeds ... with the possibility of 'hybrid vigor' kicking in, you could have some VERY good seeds, on your hands ... I would not hesitate to grow them out, quite likely to have a real 'keeper' ... happy gardening :)

Still have a good 1/2 oz of my original G13xbuddha. Gave away more than I've smoked by far. Now I've got these 3 branchy females going and they look like they'll produce way more. Thinking of making some kief hash . Plan to use one of those small grinder boxes.

IR,
Quick question about pruning. My plants are about 5 weeks into flowering. Got some long stringy lower branches that are producing small flowers. Doesn't look like they'll amount to much. Will it cause much stress to the plants now to prune some of these branches ?

pruning those shouldn't matter much, it's the big fan leaves that really count ... but, snip a few at a time, give a day's rest between clips, just to play it safe ... I'm not a fan of 'lollypopping', etc., but I always see some growers getting away with it ... some strains won't put up with that sort of thing, I guess ... happy gardening, good to see you again

Just a quick note on potency. I posted ealier that I pruned off some stringy branches that has small puny flowers. Well I dried off those branches and rolled up some of the dried flowers. Not much. Were mostly pistils with just a few small leaves. Made about a 1/8'' dia joint . Were talking about 3 tokes. Well a creeper stone hit me I couldn't believe. I'm almost frightened to smoke the maturing plants. Since I've pruned and added a bit of 9-44-15 fert. the flowers have really thickened up . Getting stinky too .Though this strain is advertised as not smelling at all - that's not true.
Seems these modern strains are bred to be one hit wonders.

Antman.... welcome to the world of really good weed. There are a very few of us on here that do know the difference, and only do top quality. BTW... be very careful with the mature bud.... all you need it a piece about the size of a pea in a waterpipe. Yes, it takes 10 or 15 minutes for NCDG to "soak in", and its well worth the wait.
I don't recommend doing more than 2 hits at a time tho.... lest you have to turn off the TV and the puter cause there are too many colors. :D

Mississipi Steve ,
Got to correct you . I was posting about the potency of some G13xbuddha I've got growing . Plants are in about 7 weeks flowering. Going to go with another light fertilizer sol'n of 9-44-15 tomorrow.
But your recommendation of a pea sized bit is about right. Even less maybe.

Yeah, that's why I'm curious how well it would do for a traditional LST (Scrog or regular tying down everything that moves ). Many of the pictures of your "woman" :stoned: have shown her being tied up.....not down.

OK, well, my pride and joy (NorCal Daddy's Girl) will be F2 seeds, from my original stock, and will be released as such ... the NCDG P1s (parents) have been in my garden so long, they don't need further testing ... a typical F2 will have variations, but since the P1s are related, I am suspecting the variations wont be major ... definitely gonna be some badass breeding stock in there, to choose the traits you like  ... the Sour Girls have been grown out, and impressed us all, so those will be tested for germination, and packaged, hopefully soon ... since the forest fires wiped me out, I had no place to grow this past year ... so, a couple trusted friends have grown some 'seeders' out for me, using my seeds, and methods :) ... one garden was lost to frollicking animals :wtf:, and another got blown down by high winds :wtf: ... been a tough year :D ... one thing I learned, the NCDG is not well suited to outdoor growing, without a lot of tying up ... they simply grow buds too heavily for their stems to support ... (:D think of a Barbie doll, with those big boobs, and skinnyass legs :D) but, a couple finished well, and are being sent to me, any day now ... so, we wait :D ... and, we get by, 'with a little help from my friends' ... To antman: I'm sorry i came across as 'on your case' or having a problem with you... I'm jsut a huge NCDG fan and everytime this thread is updated i get excited to see if it's any NCDG news.. and for a while it was your other grows that were being updated. Long as image reaper doesn't care then it's all good! Sorry you had bad luck first round with your NCDG, antman.
Image reaper: I hate that you're going through a lot of hard times.. stay positive and keep working those NCDG's! I have 2-3 original seeds left and a great mother plant from the originals.. so if there's anything I can do.. let me know and ill do my best.

Hey dude. I gave the ncdg seeds a go too. Just didn't get any females.
So I had to get some seeds fast locally. Now i've got two mason jars full of dried bud from this G13 cross.
Too bad about the seed loss for IR. Someone must be hip to the shipments to HD .

Next grow, I will do NCDG and see if I can make some seeds. Already started this one... This grow is Toxic Blue F2..... If I get a male, I will make some seeds to share with this batch

I was gifted a few NCDG hybrid seeds from two different fellows. I had a bitch of a time getting the seeds to pop and grow. On the very last seed I had success with G13 x NCDG. I just finished up smoking it up and it was really very good. My pal with tough tollerance loved it. Usually, all my plants smell and tasted great. I have 10 very, fat, ripe seeds from the G13 x NCDG that was pollenated with a Mr Nice Seeds Neville's Haze Male. Sounds promissing to me!

Got 3 females out of 5 plants. One of them is taking forever to show pistils. I think its got more of the columbian gold in it because the leaves are a bit narrower. One plant has leaves with a shingles like surface . I wonder if this is the indica in it.

Hmmm not many posts here of late. My 3 plants went to two as one went hermie on me . But tha last two are nearing maturity. Fam leaves going yellow. Only a few days to go to make 8 wks flowering. Yield seems the same as my G13xbudha plants.
