Is there any strain available that will grow indoors with no lights?
Possibly a stupid suggestion, but will any plants happily grow on a windowsill with minimum effort in looking after it. I am at University and live in accommodation so acquiring lights and fans is out of the question! Im just looking for something to provide me with my own smoke, not looking for it to be a super plant or anything!

All suggestions are appreciated and don't worry, I'm prepared to be shot down in flames!

if you get good direct sunlight coming through that window i don't see why you couldn't grow one that way. i mean they do grow in nature, right?

this is my first grow and i'm using bagseed. after the new year i will be ordering some. i think i'm gonna order from the attitude seed bank (http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/index.asp).

they have great specials. and you can buy single seeds! find something that strikes your fancy and give it a go!

well if it's gonna be in a windowsill whose to say somebody won't see it and narc on you? I remember seeing a story about a woman who was raided because someone mistook the tomato plants on her windowsill with a pot plant

you probably shouldn't grow just yet, if you're busted you'll likely lose your housing, financial aid, and probably get expelled not to mention possible criminal charges

getting an education is your most important job at the moment

not too many people get raided on a tip from a neighbor, without much other evidence. they aren't gonna waste time or money. i'm not saying it didn't happen, but it's a little far fetched. besides, one pot plant is a misdemeanor.

i do agree that getting your education is the number one priority though!
