Outdoor in NorCal BayArea?

Ok i have done a couple of grows now, 1indoor and 1 outdoor, Just wondering how soon I would be able to start some babies outside? I know you can grow after the 1st frost, but when is that? What about veg indoor from seed to 3-4weeks and then relocate em outside? anything heps!!!

folks around here (santa cruzish area) say mid april... still a bit cold at night where I am. You really just want your temps at night to be ok. And if you are planting ones that have been vegging I guess you would not want it to rain anytime soon?My buddy was saying the rain rots the buds but maybe if they don't have buds yet it doesn't matter...
