I understand there are lots of variables to yield been reading for days. Does anyone think it's possible and reasonable to get a pound from a single plant in a 70" high 30" wide and a 16" deep enclosure with good ventaltion co2 hps light, my under standing is thAt for high yield u veg longer

How long typically would that be for and how high I was told Ionce u flower plant usually doubles in height

Ok so if the reason I'm not getting replies is because someone thinks I'm wanting a predicted out come that's not it. I'm asking what is a good bench mark and is a 1 lb dry yield possible in a cabnit grow (has anyone done it or seen it) I'm going to grow anyways

I guess a better question would be is a 70" by 30" by 16" a handy cap for a 1lb plant

I would recommend looking at similar grow logs and estimating yourself

it depends too much on strains and other factors

from someone who started in a cabinet and moved to a closet, i would say no an lb in a cabinet with that small of a foot print isn's very probable

what would you say your best yield in a cab was per plant and what was it setup, I plan a hydro hps lots of air intake fans and exit and co2

You'd probably waste more money on Co2 compared to what you would get back form it. Unless your room is completely sealed.

yeah i agree im pretty tight for space(this is in my computer room/bedroom), this is my first grow, if it all works out i have a 20ft by 16ft fruit cellar ill do up. this is more to learn then anything. so far this will be my setup

400watt HPS for flowing cab
6 CFLS for veg/clone cabinet.
all X-10 controlled timmers
homemade ebb and flo hydro setup
CO2 system with regulator (even if i dont benefit from it much it will be good for my next setup)

the pictures i have are taken in the computer room and the garage (while constructing the cab and a couple pics.

as you can see i just started, the little fan you see is just to exhast the heat from the lizard tank out (70 degrees or so, so i dont think it would harm the plants, im having 5 fans from the flowing box out

by the way its wider then 30" im just assuming only 30" of it is usable im running a ABS pipe down the narrow corner with ABS "T's" and fans blowing into the pipe and out a carbon filter, also not shown in pic under tin foil is fatmat (sound dampening)

ok one concern on mine.....

HEAT! i plan on 400 W HPS, i don't have room for the air duct cooled hoods, i do plan on good venation though (i think its planned alright, my air intake i think is ok, but the only exhaust planed is though a carbon filter.... what do you all think?

I believe it's possible to get a pound of dry off a plant in a small area, but not with the dimensions or light that you speak of...
The Small enclosure that puts out this yield would be at least 36"x36"x84(preferably 96"),a 1000WATT light in an air-cooled reflector with at least 6" flanges,T-5 supplemental side lighting,a minimum 6" intake and outtake,a large CO2 tank with regulator,an "independent temp, humidityand CO2" control, the four 6" fans for the holes, and some Ultreflect or white paint...Now you just have to find the right genetics and prune/train the plant to grow/support this weight...Piece of cake...:D
I think you should concentrate more on tuning in your area to where you can keep a temp of 80 degrees or less during "lights on" with your 400..Worry more about getting through germination and veggin, which so many first time growers seem to have a problem with...Learn to grow healthy/potent plants...Develope a grow style...Yields will improve as you improve...And remember the most important grow/yield tip,"DON'T GET BUSTED"!!!
Good luck to ya Sharmz...:smokin:

I don't know about indoor grows as much as i do about outdoor, but i had 5 females that i harvest in oct & it was Big Buddha Cheese Fenmized.I had 3 plants that was 9 foot to 11 foot & i got 2 1/2 pds dry buds when it was cured. It was my best grow as far as getting away with it form the theives & cops.I never seen a 1lb plant personally but i have heard of them.As far as my indoor grow i'd be happy to get 10 to 12 ounces of my 4 female plants lol,so i got my fingers crossed.

to test my ventilation put my 100 watt lizards heat lamp in there, i cant get temps below 95! if i went 250watt HPS, do you think it has less heat output then a "heatlamp" i HOPE so lol

from your little sketch it looks like your too worried about intake and not worried enough about exhaust.
in my cabinet, which was like 15dx21wx35h, i used my sunleaves 250 pulsar mini. in that light the ballast and reflector are all one unit so i was dealing with more heat than something with a remote ballast. your space is roughly twice as tall as mine was. I use a small squirrel cage fan but i still had temp issues, once my exhaust timer got messed up and the cabinet got up to 112 degrees!
my advice is to spend good money on an exhaust fan and use passive intake. right now i bet your blowing more air into the cabinet than you are removing....

Why not just use the fruit cellar? I don't see why you are growing in a cabinet with all that good room down below. It's always 56 degrees underground and easy to maintain temps etc. I would blow out that cellar and go to town.
