I have been a regular toker for almost two years. Here's what happens when I smoke. I feel the high coming I get really high and then it feels like I cross some barrier and I become almost completely dumb. I feel like I lose my ability to speak and my head feels very heavy and can sometimes hurt. I don't know why this always happens but I was hoping someone could explain it. Am I smoking too much? Is it something with my body?
This feeling always comes quite quickly after I smoke like somewhere around forty five minutes to an hour and stays with me for the rest of the night.

Yeah, just don't smoke as much in a single session, especially if you're smoking some particularly potent stuff.

Smoke less.
I've been pretty dormant with my smoking lately. When I do smoke, it's usually because someone smokes me up. The last time I smoked my friend packed my pipe and I got blitzed twice off of that single bowl that night. We stopped after a few hits, watched a movie and hit it a few more times afterwards but still didn't finish it. I had some GREAT sleep that night.
Two days later I had a cold, so I decided to take a hit from what was still in the pipe to get my day going. One hit and I was already completely stoned. So either that was some bomb shit that she brought, or I have completely lost my tolerence.
So yeah, i say smoke less. You'd be surprised at how little it takes sometimes.

Switch to a sativa if possible. And smoke in smaller increments. Get a one-hitter or pack a small bowl. Smoke that. If you want more after an hour, smoke another one. Dont just blaze your dome off from the break if thats what happens. Remember: a good definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results :P

I don't know why but that really impressed me. Great way to put things in perspective.

I'm on board with the "do a couple hits and see how it feels" advice. I do this every time I get a new batch.
And no it would likely not apply to coin tossing since that is an exercise in probability and there are always at least two options unless it's a two headed coin.
I believe that quote about insanity is attributed to Einstein. Smart man.

thanks a bunch guys! i'll try that next time. i usually smoke pretty potent stuff so i'll just start with a little bit next time. all this time i figured if i was smoking good stuff this wouldn't happen to me so i thought it was something wrong with my lungs/head or something
