Dont have a pic yet... didnt have my camera with me when I went to see them tonight...
I have 9 plants in veg, and 8 out of the 9 are showing purple on the stems of the fan leafs... I am guessing this is because they are getting too cold at night... low temp getting in the 50s at night with the light off... changed night period to the day time, from 10am to 4pm and the low temp with light off is still high 50s... Temp is steady in the mid 70s with the light on....
What cha think?
On top of the purple coloring on the stems, the fan leafs are curling upward. Not the tips, the sides of the leafs are curling upwards. I have done some searching on it and come up with two entirely different answers.... mineral deficiency.... and the other says it is a humidity issue couples with too much heat.
Could either of these be the culprit? how do I figure out which is which?
Question about flushing as well.... the soil these are in is comprised of nute free potting soil, manure, bone meal, and blood meal, and perlite. These have been put together to be nature nutrients but not be able to burn and harm the plants or roots. Is flushing still possible with this soil set up?
PH question... does the soil need to be PHd? When it was completely mixed, we did a soil test and it tested at 7.0 pH. With the soil being at 7.0 how do you recommend we do the water which is neutral out of the tap at 7.0.... I know MJ prefers the water to be PHd at around 6.3-6.7 but that is usually the numbers I get whan talking about a soiless grow, not a soil grow with the additives I mentioned above with the soil being at a neutral pH.
Thanks for your replies in advance.

I have done some searching on it and come up with two entirely different answers.... mineral deficiency.... and the other says it is a humidity issue couples with too much heat. Or, it could be a 'purple' strain...which means the purpling is perfectly normal. The purple usually expresses itself when temps drop a tad. (like sugar maples changing colors during the fall)
Question about flushing as well.... the soil these are in is comprised of nute free potting soil, manure, bone meal, and blood meal, and perlite. These have been put together to be nature nutrients but not be able to burn and harm the plants or roots. Is flushing still possible with this soil set up? Pretty much impossible to 'flush' solids out of the soil. Perhaps you might want to re-think your soil recipe, as you can still burn the ladies using organics.
PH question... does the soil need to be PHd? I never ph my soil, but it's a pretty consistent organic brand. (Dr. Q's Filthy Rich) I use a ph pen to check my run-off ph on a (somewhat) weekly basis, tho.

How many times do you plan on posting this set of questions?
(I already answered this same post elsewhere)
And also...complaining about your post being moved is a great way to insult those that clean-up the messes around here. Doubtful it was just to fuck with you, but more likely than not, it was originally posted in the wrong forum.
Next time, how about thanking the responsible party, instead of belching out orders like a scorned bitch?

Ph is the very first thought.

And I'd be careful if I were you about demanding mods do ANYTHING .......follow the rules and act decently and people will help you.
Charge in and try to start taking over (who the fuck moved this?) and I can guarantee your ass won't last around here longer than a day or two.
Stop deciding for your plants what they should have by YOUR logic and look at your plants. They're already telling you by how they look that they aren't happy. YOU deciding ph should be 7 doesn't seem to be solving the issue for your plants does it? AND OF COURSE YOU CAN BURN THEM WITH TOO MANY NUTES........organic or otherwise. Who in the world told you otherwise?
Why not try doing what you know you're supposed to be doing.......keeping your ph between 6.2-6.8? And get your room temps up to at leasst the 60's at it's coldest.
Good luck.

It is posted in the correct area.... this area is for "Indoor Growing Discuss lighting, nutrients, yeilds, etc."
Where as the area it was moved to is not for nutrient related questions. Whomever moved it did so witout reading or realizing where they were moving it to.
As for you coming to this thread to bitch at me just to raise your brownie and ass kissing points.... learn to read.... I did not "belching out orders like a scorned bitch", I asked nicely (please) for it to be moved back where it belonged. It wasnt, so I reposted it in the correct area (the original area it was posted).
So you can take your ass kissing attitude about things you are too closed minded to comprehend and dont even bother to post in my threads.

Ok, I was able to get some pix tonight... here they are of the curling....
Heat issues have been taken care of for the moment while I build the growing area... Decided to just leave the light on 24/7 until they get into the new grow area, which hopefully will not be beyond this weekend.... Before they get in there, I will test the heat in there to see if I can pout them in there and leave them for 48 without lights to get them ready to flower.... but I dont think they will be ready for flowering then anyway... but I do want to know about the temp in the box anyhow...
Here are the pix... look at the way the leafs are curling up on me....
And I just found out that the partner (a science professional) has been adding Super Thrive to the water when she waters them and the super thrive is supposed to have all the minute minerals and nutrients the plants need beyond the organics that re in the soil already....
Let me know what you think is causing this.
Thanks
First pic is of the worst plant... but is was double wammied... fish emushion was splashed on it after the curling... she tried to wash it off, but it still got hit hard... but the curling was there before hand...
the second pic is of another that is curling as well...
Third is of all of them... the ones with the main issue are on the far side against the wall....

A) You seemed a tad insulted after a mod moved your post. Tough shit. You can either roll with the punches, or struggle to get along in here...your choice.
B) I wasn't the one that moved your post, inciting this prissy little attitude, twas a mod. You have a problem with them doing their job, likely best to take it up with them. I do however have a soft spot in my heart for those that come in here, answer questions and keep the boards in a coherent, consistent order. You think you know best...? Start a website and post wherever the fuck you want.

Gee...what I read came across as..."Hey...I'm new here, but I demand you return my post to it's original spot. (please was obviously an afterthought to the demand)
And actually...you're slightly mistaken on two points there. You came into our house making yourself all bitchy. I pointed out the obvious, which was that a mod had already moved your post, but since you know best, you decided to go over the mod's head and you copy-n-pasted the thing back to this section. Quite arrogant and overtly childish.
As far as the brownie points go...yeah...I come on these boards every day, to help newbies with the everyday problems of bringing their meds to harvest...just for the rep points. As I see yours is disabled, doubtful you know the joy of helping others, being productive and getting along with other members.
Sounds to me like you're just a tad jealous. (and did I mention childish?)

I did, because we put threads in the correct forum sections, and NO, but thanks for asking so fucking sweetly.
Have fun with your 50' temps and low humidity... that's all the help you're getting outta me.

No, not a tad insulted.... Roll with the punches or struggle to get alone... Huh... you are the only asshole I am having any lip from.... I do not take shit from anyone, much less a kiss ass such as yourself, and I give it as I get it. You saw my reply to the post and you took offence to it... wonder why I havent heard from a mod or any other staff about it? Huh... could it be that they read it as it was meant? Who the fuck moved the post? a question.... Please put it back where it belongs.... a pleading for it to be put back into the "Indoor Growing - Discuss lighting, nutrients, yeilds, etc" area. The current area: " Plant Problems - Discussion of sickness, pests, disease, mold, etc" area is the incorrect area for this post to be because my plants nor my post have anything to do with sickness, pests, disease or mold.

Wrong again... I am not new here. And again, you read what you wanted to read from my post. I have come into your house? Shit nigs, I have been in your house for along time... As a matter of fact... you are in my house if you want to put it like that... I have been a member here longer than you...

You want to hear from me directly? Fine.
Your posts are about a plant problem. Nutrient issues ARE a plant problem/sickness.
Your response was shit-eatingly snotty.
You may NOT use racist slurs on this site. EVER.
You are multiple posting the same question, whcih is against site rules.
Here, you are repeatedly insulting another member.
I am merging and closing the offending posts. You will also want to check your user cp.
