Does anyone do this for their nutes for soil growing? Seems like it would be a great way to get more oxygen to the roots. Maybe airstones in large bucket of nutes for a day or so before applying? Or is there any reason why this shouldn't be done??
Cheers.

seeing that I have a DWC they get aerated regardless
but when I do put new water/nutes in my DWC I shake up the 2L bottle I use for transporting water to the DWC :)

I add 15ml of hygrogen peroxide 3% solution per gallon to my water. This oxygenates the water and I've had great results with it. The roots almost bust up out of the soil! :smokin:

Its good to have an airstone or two bubbling away in your nute solution.
Hygrogen peroxide works well too, I use Canna zym to keep the roots healthy but its not to be used with hygrogen peroxide.

hydrogen peroxide works very well, yes, BUT, keep in mind, the H2O2 will also kill any beneficial bacteria/organisms in your soil/solution ... no big deal, but you should replace them with an active additive :smokin:

Generally unnecessary.
Every time you water your soil, it draws-down air via suction. If the soil is too muddy, and won't allow for a good exchange of oxygen to the roots, perhaps use more perlite next time, or water less often.
H2O2 is a good way to sterilize the soil. It can easily kill all the beneficial bacteria if overused.
The simple act of stirring (agitating) the nutes into the water, when just mixed...is fine. There is only so much dissolved oxygen (really tiny O2 bubbles) you can create/capture to add to the soil anyway. Most is lost as soon as you shut-off the pump, and add the water to the pot. (water wants to go down, O2 wants to rise)

i also read some where that a fan blowing on the surface adds more oxy than a stone because with the stone the bubbles just rise out of the water where as wind aerates lakes in a natural yet differnt physical reaction between the elements man

A waterfall would be good if you could get one in your growspace:stoned:
