Have you guys ever read a book or watched a tv show or movie and then one day years down the road you stumble across some information that links an idea or symbol to that media? I'll give you an example. Not but five minutes ago I finally realized where the show "lost" got its idea with the symbol from the Dharma initiative. Apparently its a Buddhist symbol representing the path to enlightenment. This symbol which is the same symbol on "lost" is called the Wheel of Dharma. I'll give you another example that isn't as profound but still neat. Have you ever watched Malcome in the Middle and wondered why those kids always referred to the nerds as being "Croboins" or something like that? Well apparently they got that reference from the movie Tremors in which the locals would call the underground Monsters "Croboins". I don't know why but something about discovering the link between two completely different things is fascinating. Really shows how everything is interconnected and possesses some sort of relation with each other.

In the movie Tremors they are actually called "Graboids" officially.

i appreciate when this happens too dream! i think it's very cool to figure out how things link or are intertwined and you might never connect it. example, our highway sytem (US) is modeled after the german highway system which hitler was directly responsible for. hitler had the autobahn (sp?) built and no one had cars to take advantadge of it so he got ferdinand porsche to build volkswagen (means peoples car) so people could use it. then porsche went and desinged porsche obviously. that's the reason porsche's are very efficient sports cars etc....sorry. i got to rambling. but very cool non the less!

Kind of like the movies Alien and Predator and all the other movies in those series. The original "Alien" movie took place in the future, the original predator took place in the 80's, AVP takes place in the modern day. So technically everything that happened in Predator and AVP took place way be before Segourney Weaver first found the Alien since that movie took place in the future. I'm sure I'm making no sense.
