Have one lady of six with a slimy root dropping out of the net pot. Been in the bucket for eight days. Plant seems to be doing ok everywhere except for a couple drying leaves in the lower region of the plant. The top still showing good growth thus far. ??????

I had some issues with my roots? They got a bit slimy yesterday and a little bit brown. Almost gooey looking. I see no gooey roots today. This all started when I began letting the water run during their 6 hours of night 3 nights ago:mad:. I gave them no water last night. Overwatering maybe? I also believe that my nute level may have been too high. I cut my nutes in half this time. Should I flush with h2o2 or maybe just add some to my fresh water and nute solution? please help

What is the water temp? Are you using any beneficial bacteria or h2o2?

Add 1 tsp of Hydrogen Peroxide per gallon of water every other day or so until they are bright white...this should clear things right up.

It WON'T hurt them..it will only help. HP also dissolves any old dead and decaying roots.

What is your grow style? More info please!
I flood my hydro 4x during the 12 hour night just fine- you may have other issues so answer:
-Reservoir temperature
-What nutrients are you using, are you adding a sugar?
-Are yo running an air stone?
-Are you running a beneficial bacteria?
-What style of hydro?
-how oftern do you change res?

plants had some root problems few days ago. the roots started to look slimey and nasty even a little brown. flushed the system and lowered the amount of nutes added to the system. bad roots are gone now. now the plants have a couple of sets of bad leaves but the rest seems to be ok. the growth is stunted however. are my plants going to survive? should i add something? please help me before i lose my ladies

running a bubble bucket. only been in the system for 9 days. would change res every 7 to 10 days though. just changed them yesterday. i am running an air stone, but not using any beneficial bacteria. also not adding any sugars.

SCL-Anything you have added to the soil
SCLR-Soil or slab runoff pH
E-Water source
E-Source water pH
HRT-Source water EC (if hydro)
E-Age of plant
E-Type of fertilizer
E-Rate of application (if hydro, this is your PPM number, preferably after each component is added)
E-Lighting source and distance from plant
E-Air temperature (both day and night if you are running a dark period)
HD-Reservoir temperature
E-Air % Relative humidity
E-Lighting schedule
E-Type of ventilation your room has
TR-Did you pre-soak your media in pH corrected solution?

ok so here is my list:

they do look a little better this morning however

growing hydro in an aeroponics bubble bucket.
obviously indoors.
getting fresh spring water from the water store down the street.
planted from clones. been in the bucket now for ten days.
dont know my ppm. (just ordered a ppm meter.)
light is a 400w HPS. distance is now 16 inches from tallest lady. was closer though for a few days. 18-6 light/dark
ph of water is between 5.8 and 6.2
day temp. 78-82 night temp 72-78
between 30 to 40 percent humidity
4 inch venting in and out of light. 4 inch fans sucking in fresh air and also one blowing out warm air.
not sure of res temp. will check that tonight though

With the range that your room goes through, your res temp is probably just fine.
The only thing I see in your system that is a big unknown is the water. Spring water? Is it for drinking? When you get your ppm meter, stick it in there. Also do you ahve other water options? A lot of water meant for drinking has a lot of sodium in it that you don't want, so in some cases even tap water is safer.
The low dose peroxide treatment recommended above should help clear up the slime, and always make sure you have LOTS of bubbles in the bucket! Root rot loves low oxygen conditions. And if you run a beneficial bacteria in your res to prevent future slime issues, that is good too. But it is one or the other because the peroxide kills bennies too.

hey the upward growth has stopped almost completely on my ladies. will it ever return? the roots are rebuilding and the plants look decent again, just not moving up...

my ppm is at 640. sounds pretty good for clones that have been in the bucket for only 11 days ya?
