We cant help you score herb here, that is not a good thing for the site. But I did see some one confused and looking for lights supplies and other things. If you have a med card and are legal, then grow, we the people of NM and friends from other places have fought long and hard for you to grow, so if you are legal to grow, then grow!

For lights and grow supplys their is AHL- Albuquerque Hydroponics and Lighting , they are not fluent in growing Herb but have everything you need. Their supplys along with Stinky Atticks help here along with all the knowlegable growers here you will do just fine. I have never grown my self, but have looked into the froum here and I completely understand the theroy, and if I can get it I am sure you will get it. Ph level dirt and lights sounds simple enough, besides its a "weed", I have seen weeds grow even after I killed them.

Dont go to AHL and ask how to grow weed and what you need, it is not a good thing and they might throw you out. they have been in business for a long time and are not gonna risk it, so make a list check it twice know what you are gonna do and what you need to do it.

As far as seeds , here on the grow section they discuse places to get seeds, and good seeds, what ever that means, I think the pros know the reputable seed guys.

With the mention of lights I thought I would add in that traditional HID or Halogen lamps are wasteful for growing as plants really only use light that is 660nm(red) and 450nm(blue) to grow.

What does that mean to you?

Well with some 450nm and 660nm LEDs mixed 50/50 in a panel you can provide all the light needed to grow any plant excluding some mosses and algeas. While it will be a higher up front cost to build (or buy) this system what you get in return will be a light setup that uses much less current and voltage (the ones I am using are 10mm 5v 20mA), meaning a really low power out, which in turn gives us the benefit of needing to water the plants less due to heat evaporation, no heat signature for people to spy on us with, and a lower electricity bill! Oh and LEDs have a typical life time of 100,000 hours, so you won't be replacing them anytime soon.

But there is a catch isn't there?

Yes actually there is, and its a bit of an odd one. Your plants will come out with a black tint due to technical aspects I will go into later in my full writeup.

But for now thats all you need, expect my full write up to be posted in the growing section come Sunday mourning.

There is one other reliable source in Albuquerque. The Gas Pipe sells certain growing items, as it is traditionally a Head Shop. I personally know the Manager there and I can vouch that most of the employees are knowledgeable when it comes to gettin' your crop started.

AHL is undoubtedly the best growing source in Albuquerque for the most part. They carry everything needed to grow the kind but like Sativa said it would be foolish to mention anything regarding illegal activities in such a sensitive locations!!!

What happened to the Gas Pipe on 4th? I stopped there a few years back, and as I pulled out onto 4th, a cop got right on my ass and tailgated me for a while. My record's clean though. I remember Gas Pipe was in the news a few years ago for something or other. I usually avoid head shops.

That place is also a hydoponics place now. Its not a gas pipe, but all hydro stuff. I went in their a while back and forgot about it till you just said it. I was at the JBS across the street, their salad bar has alot more than just salad, its got little enchiladas, soups, chicken wings. it is the bomb!

Anybody remember Roach Ranch? They had a radio ad on KRST (before they sold out) for back-to-school supplies...pipes, papers, clips. I scored my first lid from a total stranger at Yale Park summer of 69. It was good stuff too. Those were the days!

Yale Park was at the corner of Yale & Central. There's still a small patch of grass there. UNM and Nob Hill were my stomping grounds as a kid.

Yale park.....jolted some good feeling memories.
The Pit has been the pit for over 30 years...getting a kazillion million $$ re-do.
A$$holes dumping big bucks on vanity and not more important things.
The Roach Ranch I'd long forgotten about so thanks for that bit from the past too.

I had my 57th BD yesterday the 12th and went on an hour drive looking for a small water pipe for cheap until later when I may build up a glass on glass Pyrex my way.

First stop was TNA and what a crappy bummer that was.

the front door was blocked with a small note saying to use the side door.
Went to the side door and was locked tight.
Rattled the glass trying to open.

Walked away and a girl opened up the door and made some bitchy remark it was open.
Iretorted it was not.
She was in a back room then another gal walked out fixing her shirt.
I asked where the water pipeswere...(I know the rules of bong a nono word).
She said in the room on the other side of the building.
I asked where and for atleast a finger point.
Went back in where the pipes were and several guys were standing around and a bunch of pipes all over as a delivery was being taken in.
I politely keep out of the way and gaze over the views for what I had in mind.
Some scruffy ass guy rudely asked what I was looking for.
Told him plain as day and went from there.
He kept going back to the bongs and I wanted a flask type water pipe glass on glass.
He was contrary and went to another bong.
I said those pipes all have a large tube and I want a pipe like a pipe...not like a big ass rube.
He differed again and I explained the parts of the bongs and kept telling him the tube part...that is the bamboo that was a bong now a glass rube is not what I wanted.
He said shut up and walk out now.
I asked WHAT?
He got even more rude and then had a nasty confrontational tone.
Well....birthday or just another Friday I took far more than I normally do and firmly explained myself as he stuffed in his snide crappy BS.
At one point I had to look over my shoulder as a big foomanchoo wearing bald shaved dude was approaching.
All I could do was be nice but nice don't mean weak or easy.
I asked if they were looking to take me out as a group or one at a time or what.
Shit.....pansy ass wannabes so ripped they couldn't complete a sentence.
I called their bluff by turning my back to them and went to the front.
Asked the girl who had the door locked where the boss was.
She said in the other part of the building.
SIGH.
She got it nailed down where and who as she said the guy with scruffy beard and beanie on.
I said he was?????
He's who I was hoping to get fired for being a jerk.
She said some crappy bit and I let go with a tell him to go and F mself.
Walked out and drove off.
Went to the Gas Pipe and what a pleasant change they were.
Friendly and even said hello and a high when I walked in.
Told them about TNA and they laffed as they knew as most do TNA is a crappy place with a loser for an owner.
Then my cell phone rang.
I normally don't answer when in a store but my delivery man was due and no way did I want to miss his delivery!
Sheeesh!!!
Like a bomb was going to blow the place up if I answered it.
I did as I walked out with wallet on counter.
The call was my insurance agent wishing me a happy day.
The guys explained why no calls allowed and were nice about it and all was fine.

I got a tiny stopper kinda water pipe that'll do for now and the new smoke smoked well in it last nite and even a morning toke as well.

Will be great when there's good harvests from growing my own.

That's why I usually avoid head shops. I've been to TNA, BudStones (they made the news once (a shooting over a bong)), and Gas Pipe. The people were polite, but I felt out of place. Goes back to my time in the Bible Belt when you didn't want to be seen at the liquor store or the porn shops.
