Marijuana has a lot of uses, some more proven than others. I don't partake that regularly, but i hardly go for more than a month without at least one session. At the beginning of fall semester this year i got really busy and didn't have any time for a session, and i really wanted to keep my focus. It was around 3 months i had gone without smoking at all, and i had some relapses, so it just got me to thinking. Anyways, i've had problems with depression for as long as i can remember, but i was just thinking about it the other day. It was around 2 years ago my episodes just seemed to go away, or were much less intense. Point being, that is around the time that i started smoking. That and it does seem to calm my allergies down a bit to. Just curious if anyone else gets the same results as i do?

Definite Yes! Pot is the BEST MEDICINE FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING... When I was extremly depessed I tried pot... Talk about immediate relieve! I felt so good the rest of the whole day, and on my days without it I still felt pretty good..... As for allergies Im not so sure. But one thing is for sure, MJ is the BEST ANTI-ANXIETY/ANTI-DEPRESSANT THERE IS! As for pain ( ive told this story once before) I got my wisdom teeth pulled and it hurt very bad afterwards.. The dentist prescribed me Vicadin ES.. I took two of these and the pain stayed about the same... NOW I know your NOT suppose to smoke after dental exams/surgeries, but I did... One bowl from my bong of maryjane and the pain in my mouth was 100% gone!!! I could bite down and everything! ganja is a miracle drug!

It can help some people while making the problem worse for some others
I would advise anyone to test and know your own body and how it reacts to know what works for yourself, maybe even have a friend tell you if you seem any different
I think Marijuana opens up the passageways so it may seem that you are getting less allergies because of increased airflow

I've suffered from clinical depression with mild psychosis since I was fourteen (I'm 21 now). I've had two attempted suicides and one extended stay in a psychiatric hospital. I've been on four different antidepressants and one antipsychoic. I never smoked cannabis until I was nineteen and it was the first substance that actually made feel better, made me feel normal, claimed my thoughts, eased my paranoia, made life actually enjoyable for once. And not, I'm eager to stress, just for the duration of the high. When I come down, the feeling of contentment remains; I sleep peacefully and wake up refreshed, something I've rarely been able to experience without cannabis.
Unfortunately I'm currently having to do without do to lack of availability so I'm currently struggling again with all the old bugbears of my existence. However, cannabis has also given me something I always desperately needed: a purpose. That purpose? To see cannabis legalized so that I can finally have constant access to the only medication I need for my mental woes!

it does help. i get anxiety at times and depression...to the point where its that nervous sick feeling in your tummy. all i need to do is take a few hits and boom, its gone. sometimes my depression is so bad that once the high kicks in, i just sit there and go, 'ahhhhhhhhhh!' as if somebody took the world off my shoulders.
they tried to put me on shit like zoloft, and the side effects were horrible. i had mad dry mouth, and was extremely bithcy all the time, then I even began wanting to hit my kid! I read an article that anti-depressants actually can make people become abusive...something that I AM NOT! So I canned that shit right away and began toking more often and now, even if i don't toke for a while, the depression doesnt return.
I dont see why they allow these drugs on the market that when you take the,. you then need a second drug to take care of the side effects which make you feel worse than the problem you are on medd for to begin with.
I mean, grow a plant, cut it down and set it on fire and you dont have to worry about having a damn nervous breakdown or liver disease from the effects.
As Katt Williams said, the only side effects you get from weed is sleepy happy and hungry.
My mom has arthritis and bi-polar (mild) with menopause on top of it. She gets kinda bitchity and exhausted so I throw her a bag o' feel good every other friday and she fixes up right away.
what the fukk or what the fukk!? looool:rastasmoke:

It's great to see what cannabis can really do for people. I don't suffer from depression in the least, I'm rarely even sad these days. For most of us, life is so easy. I don't mean in a money sense, I feel that pain too. I mean health wise.

I have almost the exact scenario as this. The allergy thing is kinda cool to hear.
I use to really hate mowing, if I didn't take a cool shower immediately after mowing I would basically have an allergy attack(sneezing, throat closing off, itching, etc). So I started smoking before mowing honestly for the sole purpose of at least I could maybe somewhat enjoy it while I was doing it. What I noticed, and my wife noticed too, was that my allergies weren't nearly as intense when I mowed after smoking. Hell sometimes now I don't even have as much as a 2 or 3 sneezes through the whole mowing.
The depression is also true I was never really that depressed or anything I just hated my job. So I made the choice to smoke once in awhile even though I have random Whiz Quizzes(I dilute and also have good pee in the freezer). That was about 2 years ago and the last year or so I have been telling my wife how my job isn't that bad anymore I've seemed to make peace with it. I really believe that the weed has a direct influence on both of these.
It was really great to read your post I always believed weed was behind how I was feeling but it is like you just validated my experience. Anyway I'll quit rambling. Good post !!!

i am completely opposed to taking pills for a problem that is easily and safely cured by cannabis!
trying to tell a doctor or cop that i NEED to get high is like trying to tell a priest that jesus is fake. they just dont listen
what ever happened to freedom? i look at weed as a medicine for myself. i dont see how high i can get every single day i just smoke at night to relax and be able to fall asleep

I have high functioning Aspergers Syndrome (AS), also ADD and OCD, not to mention deep depression and high anexiety since I was 15. The psychiatrist has prescribed me many "chill pills" (prozac, risperdal, adderall for ADD) but weed is the best thing to heal all of my symptoms... Everyone should smoke weed... I never drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes, Bud is the only thing I need!

Weed does lift me up, but I find that when I am sober and still depressed after smoking, it almost seems worse.
