lamp adjustments

i have a veg room 4 ft t5..2 cool 2 warm bulbs..u kno..18 hours of light a day..4am to 10pm....all seedlings under a week old on 1/2 strength nutes...condenced powder from gen. hyd. idk some simple stuff..its all on a 2x4 drip irrig. table. i was wondering if i could have a complete layout of e very time you change the distance between the canopy and the bulbs...for a veg room as i have explained and also for a 400w hps 2x4 ebb . flo w/ idk how many plants yet....what distances and at what point in the plants life cycle do i adjust....thank you for any reply i appreciate the assistance..!

oh and how long should i water my babies for i got them on 3x daily every 6hours starting at 6am then 12 noon then 6pm, in 15 min intervals in veg cycle w/ the lamp schedule i have laid out above..please let me know if i am over watering...(and i definatley do not have compatible strains,2 purple haze 2 frisian dew 2 white diesel and like 7 bag seed all of high quality-(stinkyattic if you reply))

First, let me shoot a tip your way: Run the lights at night when its cooler and cheaper electricity!

Second, for the T5s you can and need to keep it as close to the canopy as possible always. The plants can actually touch the lights without burning, but you don't even need an inch clearance at anytime.

With a 400 watt hps you can set the bulb at 2.5' and leave it there the entire growth. From that distance it will provide the max lumens that a flowering cannabis plant can use.

If your HPS is aircooled then you should get it as close as possible. My 2 400w HPS are within 12 inches from the top of the canopy. The closer the better. But obviously don't burn the plants up. Use common sense.

You can do that, but it doesn't really buy you anything. Cannabis can only use a maximum of 10000 lumens in flower, if you give it 25000 it doesn't produce more yield. The only issue is does it penetrate further down into the canopy giving lower down buds closer to max lumens, but that is really a factor of fan leaves, etc...
