1) does the growth u take should it have a new set of leaves appering/growing from the shoot? Does size matter?
2) as soon as i clone, whats the light cycle i should be on and what kind of light(i have shop florus t-12, 400w mh, and a mini floro 60 watt.
3) i have 2 trays, one with holes and one without, how or when should i be watering, or am i misting every few days until roots show, then into soil?
4) rockwool, or perlite?
please any advice is much appreciated.. and please, i do not appreciate people with comments of, by the sounds of ur questions u need to do more reading...
i've read indoor gardening and hydro, ive been reading the cannabis magazines, ive watched videos off youtube, ive read stinkys post...
after all that these are the question i remain with. other than that i feel as if ive totally done my research?

1) the size of the clone matters a lot, the harder the stem of the clone the longer it will take to root so take a cutting from a nice healthy fresh branch.
they say when cutting a clone make it at least 4 inches long but ive always made mine shorter (3 inches) because it roots faster and there are a few other benefits from it. always cut on a 45 degree angle just above the node with a very clean pair of scissors or blade. once its cut rest into room tepid water preboiled water (fast) as you do not want air getting into the stem or its game over. the clone should have at least 3 nodes or more.
2) get yourself a a tray atleast 2 inches deep and keep the tray filled 1 - 2 cm of preboiled water (no nutes) then put all your pre-soaked rockwall pellets into the tray, make holes ready for your clones. Take each clone one by one from the water and dip into a good cloning solution (i use clonex) make sure you get a nice good coverage of cloning solution and then push half way down itto the rockwool. gently squeeze the rockwool around the stemto make it air tight. once you have done all clones in this manner check again to make sure there is still 1 - 2 cm of water in the tray. now all you need to do is gently spray the clones once in the morning and once at night everyday for about 2 weeks.
put a clear cover over the top of the clones to help keep moisture on the leaves as they will be taking water mainly from the leaves. you can use anything seethrough such as a plastic cover or clear plastic bag. the reason for the cover is mainly to keep the moisture in and it really helps keep the bugs out.
move the clones under your lights about 10cm from the bulbs and NEVER use high wattage lights as this will kill the clones fast. i use 2x 2ft Aquar-Glo flurresants which is hight in blue and the red spectrum (perfect for cloning). remember twice daily lightly spray them but dont water log them. air is as important as water. lights should be set to 18 hours on and 6 hours total darkness with no light leakage getting in at all.
while you war waiting for your clones to shoot you may get impatient as some clones can take a lot longer to root, at this stage DO NOT pull out the clones fromthe pellets to see if there are roots, this can destroy any tiny roots that are growing which you cant yet see thus it allows air to get into the stem and also makes it vulnerable to deseases. be patient and good things will happen. lastly make sure the room temp is always between 72 - 80 degreeswith no cold drafts. if even a tiny bit of light gets in the room while in dark time it could trigger a hermaphrodite so check carefully :)
its easier than it sounds but most important is to be patient, it takes normally about 2 weeks for roots to show but i always let them go a few extra days until i see lots of roots coming out so i know it will have a great chance of surviving.
hope this info helps

1) Yes, it shoudl have a growing tip plus 2-3 lower nodes. You will strip the lowest node.
2) 24h, weak, blue. One shop light about 2-3 feet from the plants is fine.\
3) No holes in the tray or dome at first. Do not mist the plants. Only mist the inside of the dome, and only when they look like they are about to wilt. NEVER water your plugs unless they are actually getting dry.
4) RapidRooter bark plugs are easiest for a noob.
Read the cloning link in my sig. All your ansewers are in there. Also there's info in the grow guide link.
