"Re-Flowering"

I Was wondering....I'm Doing My first grow ever with some floro tube bulbs and due to budget onlyl have the white temp bulbs but they're 4' long.


Anyways I have 3 plants a pretty good of the way through flowering probably 10 weeks or so or more and they're looking real nice up top but of course the bottom is dead, it's pretty much all main cola there are bud clusters in other places but not getting enough light to amout to anything.


I was wondering If i chopped the top now because it's getting under 50 degrees in there daily now and with no access with money or a lens i wont know exactly when they're ready and hang them up elsewhere in the dark but let the rest of the plant keep growing for as long as it will to get the rest of the buds to mature. Would this make any sense to even try or after the top removed would the plant slowly die off?

If you are talking about re-vegging, check the links in my sig. Pretty much guides you all the way thru the process. Takes a bit of patience to re-veg under fluoro's, but it does work well. :thumbsup:

Your main problem will be that the undergrowth on your flowering ladies have not seen usable light in a while. Since fluoro light isn't strong enough (beyond a few inches) to promote photosynthesis, you may want to keep a little more of the plant, on the plant after harvest. As long as there are some green leaves or internodal shoots forming, photosynthesis can occour, and life begins (again)...

I've flowered under CFL before and as the plant grew, I would cut off buds as they finished. It stunted the growth for a bit after I would cut some buds, but it sure did provide me with weed for a very long time. I think I smoked for a good 3 to 4 months off of a few small plants.

that's what i'm thinking of doing now, the tops look very matured the hairs glazed over red a while ago and trichs look like they pretty developed and i could good pretty good smoke out of that, possibly not peak 'cough lock' but i could drop my lights down and get the un-matured buds that are basically just hair to get more matured. Not exactly trying to re-veg it's just for the fact of the cfls and they weren't even the warm bulbs like i needed and i was just wondering about if that would mess with it too much. I'm not in my own owned house and It's a stealthy grow I'd like to finish up not too long from now so I can get ready to do it right the next time after i get some money :cool:
