how do i know how much light to give this is my first grow and its doing well about 8 inches i dont know the strain but it is female its in 24 light now how do i know when to switch for it to flower then bud:jointsmile:

A lot will depend on your available growspace. Are you running out of room under your veg lights? How much headroom will you have for flowering plants that stretch?

You could fill out the troubleshooting form (top of the Plant Problem section) to help familiarize us with your set-up. You could copy and paste the form to this thread, and answer as completely as possible. Pictures always help, too.

i am working with a 31/2 by 5 box covered with aluminum foil 300watts florescent and ventilation i noticed that my bottom leaves are bowing down should i add more light HELP:rastasmoke:

By the sound of it, you need to fill out the Troubleshooting Form.
If you want piecework speculation, then keep giving us little tiny clues at a time. I'm sure someone will play, but while you are dicking around wanting to play these guessing games, keep in mind that it's not our plants that will suffer, it's yours.
