Ok i'm starting this log late because i only found this site recently and found it verry informative, so here we go
I am using
seeds were given to me by a private breeder who has been playin with rhino and another that i can't remember
2*600w hps
2*top 2*bottom 45litre hydro tubs with rw in top tubs
1* 35 litre res total 60 litre water/nute
started with 10-3-7 2 part nute (cheap local brand)

today changed water/nute mix switched to canna flores at 3/4 strenght at a ph of 5.5 also brought new 360l/h twin outlet air pump for res.
Installed an aditional 400w hps everything is lookin good.
One thing that has me woried is one plant seems like it might be turning hermi i'll know in a few days have to find some DM Reverse
i'll post some update pics in a few days

btw lights have been on 12/12 for 3 days
temps are 18-20c/64-68f lights off and 25-28c/77-82f lights on
also have my home brew kit in there aparently the brewing of beer can create co2 so i have it infront of my ocilating fan.

today is a bad day the plant i thought might be a hermi was so its gone. now i have taken down the 400hps and have the 2 600s over the one remaining lady. checked ph and water level. any ideas why it turned on me.

just wondering if anyone knows if reverse will work after 7 days flowering and pre flowers have emerged

ok so its been a while since my last post everything has been going well been keeping an eye on the normal things eg: ph between (5.0-6.5) temps have been staying the same. any advice, comments, or anything really would be appreciated.

i'll be adding canna boost tomorrow and one last round of lst.
any suggestions? can anyone see the pics? I really would like some sugestions on how to increase yeild.

I really wonder about your "hermie" only 5 days after switching your lights. I usually don't fully determine sex until almost 14 days into flowering. Because some females may look like hermies but it isn't pollen sacs it is actually swollen calyxes and they grow out of that stage. Give your babies more time male won't release pollen until 3-4 weeks into flowering anyway so you have plenty of time.

On another note your plants look like they have some seriouos heat stress, probably due to the fact you had 1600w's of light on two plants. I'd go down to just one 600 or even the 400 cause IMO your wasting electricity. Move your plants away from the lights more. Peace bro

Lit up speaks the truth, I too thought I had a male and it was just the swollen calyxes throwing me off. They didn't pop their hairs out until the plant started sprouting hairs all over the place. I would imagine the reverse would work too, it should stop all pollen production in its tracks..

Thanks for dropin in i too thought it was too early but the pistils were starting to show and then i saw three ball like obects grouped together like grapes at one site and didn;t want to risk it. i didn't know it takes 3-4 weeks for pollen to be released i may have waited if i did.


yeah it does have a little heat stress but i dont have great ventilation options and only a few inches left to move the lights up that why i decided to go with brewing beer for that marginal co2 increase to hopefully help with the stress and i also plan on tieing it down one more time. thanks for the input much apreciated

i have a question for anyone who is following this thread. my baby is drinking 2.5 gal a day roughly i dont have a ppm meter so i ust keep adding ph adjusted nute free water and change the res weekly. would it be safe to add a reduced ration nut insted?? i do check ph daily and it slowly goes up. i would think that is due to nute being used coz my tap water is 8.0 and when i add the nutes it goes down to about 7 the i adjust to 5-5.5 so i can only guess the it would go back up as nutes get used? any help would be appreciated thanks

yes, you can use Reverse at any time you see male flowers emerge, period.
this is straight off Dutch Masters info.

decided to add 1/4 strenth nutes for total amount in res (40l) seems to be moving along nicely considering what i put her through last week

ok i have recently run into a little problem with humidity and now have that back in range sits on 40-55% now was 70-75% there for about a week and the plant suffered buds thinned out but are back on track. i now am changing the res out with new nutes every four days because of the large amounts its drinking inbetween changes i went back to adding just plain water. i just don't see the point in getting a nute meter when this will be my one and only time i'll grow i do know it would greatly help tho. also i checked in on her just as lights were about to go off today and i'm gonna have some work tommorow about 5-6 branches have started to bend under the weight btw there aint much bud weight its all coz the branches are too big for the stem really the plant is just too big. anyway i'll post before and after damages pics
